Description
Numix-Circle is the newest Numix icon theme and it uses circle shaped applications icons.
This is version 14 of it and it comes with about 2150 application icons covered (over 800 more than the previous version) and the biggest change in it is that the baseplate background shape and some of the icons symbols have been completely redone so it feels like a whole new theme. It is a huge improvement over the previous version.
It has custom:
- Folders icons
- System Settings icons
- Indicator icons
- Symbolic icons
- and more
These non application icons are part of the basic NumixΒ icon theme, which you can download or purchase from here .
It is GPL licensed and the "code" is hosted at GitHub .
If you wish to install it under Ubuntu (or derivates) execute the following commands in terminal:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get installΒ numix-icon-theme-circle
If you wish to support the project please buy the icon theme for every dollar counts.
Other Numix related artwork can be found here .
Don't forget to circle our Google + page , become a member of our Google+ community and visit our official webpage .
Icon requests and bug reposts should be filled in Launchpad as bug reports.
NOTE: Please check our website for instructions for installing under Fedora/RedHat and openSuSE.
P.S. If you want to request in application icon do it the THIS WAY .

Yeah this one of the few of the free Numix themes, the majority of them are premium however.

Sorry bud, Numix is Linux exclusive so until Microsoft starts making halo for Linux, this stays exclusive too.

Either Unity tweak tool or gnome tweak tool. But there should also be an option to equip it in appearance in your system settings manager.

In "Numix Circle Light":Β - Cable connection status icon is light instead of dark (is the same as the "Numix Circle" theme); wifi status icon is ok.Β - On laptops, sometimes the battery icon becomes huge and it's very ugly.Β Thanks for your work!

When I try and install this via ppa/terminal it says: "Unable to locate package numix-icon-theme-circle". Am I doing something wrong or is it just missing from the server?

You have to update the list of new packages by typing this command in terminal:
sudo apt-get update
Then:
sudo apt-get installΒ numix-icon-theme-circle

(ubuntu/unity)could icons in the top bar just be simple, or redesign into the style with system default
e.g. the prime-indicatorΒ Β Β top bar icon just be white, but nvidia icon is a colorful circle, just looks little wired

Hey, guys. What's up?
I just got an update for Numix Circle and noticed that my indicators now have round icons. Is that a kind of a bug or is it a new approach of the Circle Theme? Please, see the attached image...
postimg.org/image/sxyr1fvbv/
Don't get me wrong, but round icons for indicators are not cool. I mean, they are supposed to be mono icons, that's what makes them rock.
Thanks for your time.

Sorry, but we won't.
But you can use this:
github.com/numixproject/numix-β¦
And the folders icons are part of our base icon theme and not an apps icon theme, like this one.

Hi there! Thanks for this beautiful icon set, I love it! One complaint/question though: After I installed it on my Linux Mint 17, I noticed that the software center screen looks a bit...odd. Here is the pciture:Β imgur.com/7rKPvep

Thanks a lot in advance!

This is tricky to fix. Mint Software Centre uses both category and apps icons and because we have varous apps icons theme (not just circle) categories can't be circles. But we will see what we can do?

Only complaint is the trashcan icon, is there any alternative to that one with the same theme?

I'm having a few issues trying to get this theme to extract correctly and I haven't the slightest clue what's going wrong.
I've purchased and downloaded the theme on deviantART.Β I've downloaded the ZIP straight from the GitHub page.Β I've even gone to the Launchpad repository website and downloaded three separate builds.Β When I try to extract the files with OS X's default file unarchiver, it tells me that the ZIP/tarball cannot be extracted.Β When I use a third-party unarchiver (in this case, The Unarchiver), it extracts successfully, but almost every SVG in the scalable folder is blank.
Here is a screenshot to show you what I'm talking about:Β i.imgur.com/tLlncJ1.png

I'm aware of this, but they're still SVG files that I can convert to ICNS files for OS X to use them where I want.
