Description This is a birthday present my brother and I made this weekend for our friend Brad - a home-made Emergency Zombie Defence Kit in case of zombie attacks!

We got most of the items - including the REAL mini-crowbar at the dollar store - no kidding! The t-virus antidote came from GameBuzz, the book from Coles, and the little syringes from my brother's teeth whitening kit. The wood and plastic covering came from Home Depot. The rest of the metal bits and paint and whatnot, we had around the house.

We built the casing with my dad, then I stained the wood, and stenciled on the lettering and biohazard symbol.

Oh yeah-- and the game behind the book is Left4Dead.

You've got your bludgeoning weapon, your piercing weapon, your standard RE handgun...Imagine the miniaturized things BIGGER. I think this is enough to get you to wherever your armory is - I think it'd definitely let you last more than a few minutes.

WOW, that's enough item for survival, imaging the zombie was crazy to chasing you, you can use such weapon to kill them or slow them down, & buy some time for our self.

But only one thing I fear, if that zombiem was slow zombie, we can had more percent to live, but if like the movie fast runing zombie, I don't think can use KARATE to fight back, JUST RUN for my life.....

Thanks - it's all 100% handmade from objects we found already in our house or at the dollar store though, so it's kind of a unique item. Otherwise I'd be happy to make one for you - honestly, it's a really fun project that you should consider undertaking for yourself. It would be more personal and it's a good rainy-day activity.

That is freaking GENIUS. It's a pity that you spelled "defense" as "defence" though.

Glad you like the design - it is what it is though - I'm Canadian, so I use UK spelling. Colour, not color !

this is awesome, however, i do feel that the tiny chainsaw is a bit... redundant? For one, its too small to be of use during close combat with the undead, if you get close enough for that, you will be eaten.

secondly, i wont assume you've read the book, as this is a gift, probably for a zombie enthusiast. but, it does discount chainsaws altogether as being a realistic weapon.

That said, you're friend is ridiculously lucky to know you. This right here, best gift, EVER.

I did read a little of the book (who could resist, right?) - call me a sentimentalist on the chainsaw. It's just pure Ash coming through. As to its size - we had to economize the space, so we figured it's just enough to severe a head if you're unfortunate to get that close to a zombie. Definitely not for anybody who isn't speedy on their feet though.

Haha - glad you like the gift though.

What fun gift! And very good use of art/crafting skills, for a one-of-a-kind gift. Did you give it yet? If so, what was the reaction?

We gave it the day we finished it - the day of his party, so maybe if we'd had more time it would have been even cooler! But in the end, he really loved it. Our lab report was well-received too. He thought it was the coolest gift he'd ever gotten :d!

Thanks - it was surprisingly quick to make (though we did have three people working on it) - we decided on the idea on Saturday and had it done by 1 AM that night - more or less.
