Finally i have managed to complete the renders of my Droideka, hope you like it
Modeled in SolidWorks 2006
Model: 10-14 hrs
Rendering Preparation: 2-3 hrs
Render: 2 hrs

I'm pissed off with polygonal modeling so I'm looking for a program that can produce smooth models using NURBS. I heared that NURBS allow you to modify a surface without altering neighboring geometry, especially useful when doing boolean operations. Is SW as intuitive to use as 3d Max and Maya? By that I mean: Can I nuke the history as I please, and keep all surfaces/trims/curves-on-surface/fillets as items without history and model onwards with those as though they were all made separately and by hand?

is really good looks tight, like the colors the program u use it is complicated to handle?
