Description Because I felt like sharing with you guys on how I get my lines on a transparent layer.

This should work with anything above Photoshop 5.5 - BUT IT WILL NOT WORK ON ELEMENTS. Because elements sucks and doesn't have the Quick Mask button. (Thats the one thing I have against it~)

HOPE IT MAKES SENSE.

Well, if you want THE most recent Pshop, CS4 is fantastic $699! But I'm sure if you dabble around Google you can find CS2 for a good price. (Or just an illegal download... *cough* )

Put the lineart on a new layer and set to multiply. You can't change the colors as much on the lineart, but you can still color under the lines.

I seem to be able to color under the lines..
but apparently lined paper isn't gonna work so well. xD;
thanks for the help, though

This is almost the way I do it, actually. Yay for quickmask.

(Instead of filling the layer and deleting, I make a new layer, invert the selection and fill that. Your way looks slightly faster though. )

Coolness. o-o; Much thankies~ It seems a lot faster than my procedure of channels, select inverse, delete, fill, etc. etc.
