edit: adjusted the color. I'm back on my laptop and saw that this picture is a lot more blue than I intentioned. I don't know if it's any better for you guys or not. :c /edit"MIZURI is about a young women living in a world where demons govern over the human race. After committing suicide with her sister by drowning themselves in a lake, Mizuri awakens finding her hair has turned blue and a special power has been imbued up on her. Given a second chance at life, she chooses to take up the power gifted to her in order to destroy the oppressing Demon Hierarchy. The story fallows Mizuri and her friends on their epic journey to defeat the enveloping darkness."
I hope to release Mizuri as a webcomic project sometime this Fall, depending how busy classes keep me. I'll definitely keep you all posted!
I'll probably remake this image. I wasn't planning on the water backdrop until I had finished the inking. I also spent way too much time on her face and working on the colour scheme. I'm pretty sure I over-worked it. e__e;; LJKljkfklsfdjks.

While I am wholly impressed with this latest piece, I'm a little torn on the story elements I am no privy too.
Is this world she is trying to conquer what we know as hell, or has demon forces taken over governance of the Earth we know and love.
Maybe if all the demons are on Earth why don't they just go to the newly vacated hell.

I dig the texture on the jacket, was that a photo overlay or a nifty brush, or perhaps something else?

The texture is all hand done using some oldfashioned cross-hatching with the coloring and then going over it with some dual-brush action.
