Description
View of commercial & administration area of Dabong New Development Plan. It's a man-made lake connected to Galas River.Using SketchUp 6 for modeling, Maxwell Render 1.6 for render.
Touch up with Photoshop CS3 for the sky.
PS: Got nothing to post actually... really busy lately with both assignment & project. Even this is part of my project. Will put this on my presentation board. Too lazy to put a tree...

..... umm macam mana nak kata eh.
walaupun CG ok, cuma latar belakang nampak tak kena, perhatikan baik2, rumput tuh macam mencecah awan, dan kedudukan awan tidak kena dengan perspektif, kalo bro buat laut kat belakang tuh, mungkin lebih baik?

memang pun, sebab plane yang aku buat bukan infinite pun. sekadar background yang ditempek kat belakang cg.

That water is just a default material. Only add the bump mapping.

How'd you do the light set up? Did you use Mental Ray in Maya at all for the lighting set up?
Overall, it looks great. The buildings almost seem to be too smooth. You may want to add a light texture or bump map to add to the building (depending on what it's supposed to be made out of). Also might want to add some trees and bushes. Love the water.

nope, just setting daytime in maxwell. This is an urban design so i'm too lazy to add details... Hah,haaaaa.. anyway, I need it fast due to deadline...
Thanks for the comment, maybe i'll edit it next time.
Ps: I just use standard material in maxwell render for the water, just adding the bump mapping.

Ah, okay. I use Maya for all of my 3D stuff. I don't know too terribly much about other 3D programs, but I know they can do the same things. I know a little of 3D Studio Max. The main difference is stuff is usually located in different spots.
I do love the design though. Is this for a class or a client? How long does it take to render? XD Good luck with getting it finished! I'm working on my own 3D animation final project that's due Monday. I still have to tweak a few things and then render. X_X

Hah,haaaa.... this is for class actually... It should be just a planning but the lecturers demand it too much since this is their real project for developer...
By the way, I didn't know to much about 3D program, just try and error with this two softwares until I'm getting use to it.
I set it 7 hours in maxwell for 6000x1600. This one is the smaller version.

That's the best way to learn the programs. Gah. Talk about long render times. Is that for just one frame? X_X

Yup. Just need a perspective view.

Yikes. Well, at least you know how long it takes to render so you can plan it ahead of time.

Yup, that's the advantage. Still can set shorter time but just to ensure the quality.
