Description
This is a quick pencil sketch of BloodRayne that I did a while back that I got permission to post (more pinup pencils coming soon).It took me about 30-40 minutes plus an hour and a half of studying her costume
I think I got her costume right... I used my pages from Plague of Dreams #2 and my cover from Red Blood Run #1 to try to get it down since I've never drawn her before. So she's the comic book BloodRayne, not the video game one (not that I know what she looks like in the game -- never played it).And I didn't slack off on her legs
I literally ran out of paper and on the original, her blade tip is touching the top of the page too.Materials:
- 9x12 Strathmore 300 smooth bristol
- non photo blue Prismacolor coloured pencil
- 2mm lead holder in HB
- Photoshop (to get rid of some grey and darken)

cool, dont stress about running out of paper, thats normal for sketchs, never admit to it, it's only when your doing something your paid for that you have to start shouting shit when you missjudge something and run out of paper.... then i just cover it up with scanning, cut and paste lol.
you should have a go at doing some crazy angles like i do, it forces your mind to free up and think outside the box

lol thats just practise babe, the trick is to draw it so it looks wrong as your doing it, then it will look right, thats what happens with me, i've just been doing that very thing on a Red Monkia picture

Aw thankies n_n I started sketching lightly with non-photo blue pencil from prismacolor and then when I had most of my sketch out it let me put down more confident lines with my 2mm HB lead ^_^
