Description Crocodilians come in all shapes and forms, particularily their snouts. So, here is a little study of them (it's not 100% anatomically acurate, it's a bit on the cartoony side as is the case with all of my drawings, but that's okay). Quick lesson in anatomy for those, who wonder why the gharial has such long and narrow snout- it's for catching fish, since it allows surprisingly quick movement in water. Combine that with those needle-like teeth and you have just about perfect tool for catching fish. The crocodile (as well as the caiman) also feeds on fish, but since its jaw is not so heavily specialized and has stronger bite force, it can take on larger prey such as birds and mammals as well.

I hope you enjoyed this (really) small lesson in biology as well as the picture.
