Description
My own take on an Eldar Exodite from Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe.Sort of an Eldar version of a Scottish Highlander with a large, Claymore weapon.
Made from FIMO, green stuff, guitar wire and plastic card.

This is just brilliant. I wish GW would take notice and still release traditionally sculpted stuff like this, incredible.

GW does still use a lot of traditional sculpting, as does Forge World. Most of the digital work is still for squads and vehicles.

Oh yeah, they absolutely do (especially Forgeworld), and I'm not knocking digital sculpting at all, it is a fantastic tool. I probably worded it badly, sorry - I just liked the one-off sculpts for squads as well as the multi-option kits.
Anyway, awesome work

137.6% awesome.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, you're way better at sculpting than me, but his right hand is a little off IMHO. Β it has no wrist, and no first knuckles, and subsequently the fingers were extended to compensate, which looks a little off.
I'm kind of really good at spotting that sort of thing, so I wound't worry about it, but if you were wondering if the hand looked a little off, I hope I helped.

Yeah, it's a bit off. Sometimes you have to "cheat" the anatomy to get a model to work right.
I notice that a lot on models, I've been noticing it even more on digitally sculpted ones.
This guy was getting close to being done so I didn't want to have to pull parts off just to redo the hand.

I understand completely.

Well done! Elegant enough with the wraithbone sword, flowing hair and gems; but barbaric looking with the shoulder pad and general attire. Β Impressive you managed to find that middleground without it going too far in either direction.Β

Thanks! I had an opportunity to talk with Jes Goodwin back in 2001 at Games Day Canada about the Exodites and the look he was (at the time) going for.

That is very cool. Β Always impressed with the sculpting talent people in this industry possess; being able to talk shop with them as a sculptor must be very exciting!Β
