The angle is perfect for the composition, though if you were good with light digital detailing, I would suggest that under-emphasizing the background slightly could bring a more lovely focus to the flower; That's just my opinion, though.

Good close-up, the flower looks very alien-like.
The colour contrast causes the green in the background to attract more attention than it should do. A wholly green background (with a less saturated green) would have worked really well, I think.
Slightly greater depth of field to bring more of the petals into focus would have helped, especially sharpening up the edges of the flower.
On the whole, good shot.
