Description
This is a redux of "The Robot King" I pretty much just made him seem more solid.I'm probably going to delete one of thes but I don't know which yet. so check both out and give me comments on what you think the final decision should be.

Ah. so THIS is the original. Can't see which one i like more but i feel more for this one. as he looks half destroyed and almost like he has a crown halo wrapping around his head. Ever hear of robo heaven? ...you have now...Robert King is their jesus

The coloring gives him a worn and rusted look, which is excellent. Your sketch lines do a good job giving him a solid form -- he almost looks faceted.

I prefer the other one, but I'm a lover of sketchy goodness. I think the paler, less opaque Robo looks more at home. The linework is just gorgeous!

This is amazing. The lighting (mainly highlights) is simply stunning!!! I love the sketchyness and your sense of volume (as you said) is superb. The small flecks of medium removed from the subject is a very nice touch as well. I'm gonna have to add this to my favorites.

my opinion: Don't scrap it. This is a great idea and hope you finish it.
The design and style is wonderful. The detail of the robot and the colors are great. Even without any mouth, The posture and position of the body, Seems to be a sad one Maybe because of the eyes.

What I like about this -
The style of this is great. I has a watercoloury feel, but with detail where it's nessesary.
The crown adds a lovely touch to this.
It looks as though it is drawn by a perfectionist : every tiny detail looks as though it was put there for a reason. Every tiny detail adds something more to the piece.
What I don't like about this -
The little black dot to the right of the robot.
I'm sorry. I knew you were wanting a critique for this, but seriously, in my eyes, this is perfect.

lol. thanks... I didn't realize the dot detracted so much from the piece. I was trying to give it a sketchy worn look, and the dot just kinda happened...I didn't even realize it was ther until after I was done....

I like this one a lot more that the first one. The coloring, and all just makes this one seem... more finished? Does that sound right? Anyway. I would keep this one if I were you.

okay! thanks for the input! I really liked how the shading game out in this one, but I also liked the "ethereal" feel on the first version....maybe I'll just leave both up because I'm getting such varied responses.

I was kinda lazy and I didn't really finish the sketch the way I wanted to....adding a crown, more detail, fixing the arm and generally cleaning it up...but then I scanned it and started working it in photoshop and was like "wooh!' and I liked it how it was....
so....uhm...I guess it's symbolic for now...
until I finish the sketch (yeah right) this is how it is...

I like this one the best of the two... except for the gold thing around the robot's head. It reminds me of the crown you get at Burger King.
