Electronic Compressing Holographic Operative (or E.C.H.O.) is an artificial intelligence who was created by Amco. Robotics, most well known for their Repair Dog line. E.C.H.O. is a prototype for the E.C.H.O. line of inexpensive A.I.-based companion units, which have level 2 semi-self aware intelligence, and is currently being used to collect data to be used in aiding the creation of his successor. E.C.H.O. has no physical body other than its core, which contains hidden levitation and projection devices, an eye, and the A.I.'s rechargeable power source. The holographic abilities of the core allows the A.I. to assume any form, so long as its core can levitate high enough when compared to the form's chest. This specific E.C.H.O. did not like that it had no physical body, so it commissioned a private roboticist to design a proxy body that it could use to interact with the world, protect itself from potential threats, and talk with when not using the proxy.
