When I watched Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 1 for the first time, at first I thought it was just an innocent children's show, until when I saw the climax; now I know what it is.

It may look innocent at first, but then you see what it really is. 0-0

So yeah, this is why it scares people who watched it when they were younger, thinking it's an appropriate kids' show with puppets similar to the ones in Sesame Street.
