Description
*Full view please to see the detail. So this was fun. I spent way longer on this then i had planned. This is in reference to the Lost Land in the Turok games, er , mostly the ones on the n64. I played 1 and 2 a lot back in the day.
This is mostly painted. After i got to a certain point i dropped in some pictures, and chopped them up. The only image thats used as is is the texture on the surface of the water. That tree is paint with some picture, and more paint on it.
Id visit this place, if i had a gun big enough.
Here is where it started : [link]

Very curious about the structure in the back. Looks like either a crash site or sunken buildings. Adds to the "lost" feeling. Good job on colors.

Aww yeah, the "lost world" setting is one of my favorites, and this is a fine example, mostly because it has an original look to it.
The mechanical spires are interesting, and seeing them with the plants and the dinosaurs creates a unique contrast.
The best feature, in my opinion, would have to be the fog and clouds. They really emphasize the 'lost' aspect of the scenario, making the world seem alien and foreboding.

omfg. As the full view loads I say holy shit four times. This is mind blowing. the detail on the ships are astounding. Perfect mixture of detail and impression. This must have been so much fun to make. Every extra minute you spent on it was so worth it. The dino's animation capture is perfect. Awe and jealousy are the two prevailing emotions I get from this. Phenomenal.

This just took my breath away. Such a gorgeous environment. I am really amazed by the detail and work put into this.
Is it possible that you have tutorials for digital painting of enviornment or possibly can give me any tips? I would love to do this kind of background work for a loved one.

Now that I think about it, it kinda reminds me of a cartoon I used to watch as a kid. It was called Dino Riders I believe. Some kind of alien race escapes from their planet and crash lands on a distant planet inhabited by dinosaurs.
