Yes they are! Or, more accurately, they were part of species my sister and I came up with, but we never had the time to develop it properly and we just gave up over time :/

OH man, I'm kinda sad to hear about that. I'm not much for species recently but these guys look really cool with unique anatomy and such a kind look about em.

They can just be viewed as anthropomorphic characters with weird anatomy without reference to the species I guess..I mean you're free to ignore that these guys are or once were part of species if that makes sense :'D
