-Personality: Bethany is a very timid girl. She hasn't had much interaction with other kids her age, so she finds it hard to connect with others. She feels intimidated by others because she feels that she doesn't really fit in anywhere, which makes her very stand offish at times. This is something she is trying to improve on, because she isn't content with the way she is. She is also very soft spoken, despite her attempts to connect to others, often going unheard, or taking a while to get her words out of her mouth. But, that doesn't mean that she doesn't try to be friendly. She is an amiable person, putting off a rather friendly demeanor. She always seems to be smiling and tends to quietly greet others respectfully. So while she struggles to connect with others, at least her first impressions are proper. Sometimes it may seem like Bethany is not all there. It's often that she looks dazed or seem to faze in and out of reality. She is very air-headed, and not the sharpest tool in the shed and can often be found day dreaming or staring off into space. She is also a caring mon. They knew that with their bond, and their strong leadership, they could turn their small business into a multi-million dollar corporation with locations across the globe! And that was just what they did. They renamed their business after their namesake so that the name Lovelace would be known by all. Now they were famous, they were wealthy... what more could they possibly want? Children. Monica had never really thought about having kids before. She never seemed to really want them. But Charles did. He wanted many children, to turn his family into a wealthy clan and help eventually run their business empire. Monica still wasn't fond of the idea, seeing as she'd have to be the one to produce all of these children, but the first time she became pregnant, she instantly fell in love with the concept of children. The concept of nurturing. Suddenly, she needed a child. Their first pregnancy was the happiest moment of their life. And... the most tragic. Because 5 months into her pregnancy, they lost their child. That didn't stop them though. Charles and Monica tried again... and again... and again. Each time resulted in the same heartbreak. The doctors said that it would be highly unlikely that Monica's body could carry a child to term. But one thing the Lovelace's never did was stop going for what they wanted. And finally, on their last attempt, Monica gave birth to a healthy, happy baby girl who they named Bethany.

Now Bethany, being an only child, was given the world on a silver platter. Anything she could ever want was given to her without consequence. After all, their only daughter deserved it. Whenever she so much as looked at something with any form of interest, her parents would clamor to retrieve it for her. It didn't matter if it belonged to someone else their daughter deserved it. There was many a time when a young Bethany would be with her mother or father and compliment someone's toy or electronic and her parents would argue, threaten or bribe someone for it. Because of this, Bethany had just about everything. Except for friends. Not many children would play with her because their parents would keep them away from her. It was too much of a risk for their children to lose toys or games because of her. Bethany's parents noticed how little other children would play with her, and soon began to bribe parents into letting their children play with her, so that Bethany didn't grow up lonely. This all seemed normal and fine to Bethany at first. After all, it was all she knew. It wasn't until she was a little older and a little more mindful that she realized what her parents were doing all this time was wrong.

Bethany went to a private school for middle school. She was picked on a lot because of the jealousy of other students. Bethany had never realized before how little other people liked her because of her parents until her time in middle school. But those students would eventually stop and transfer schools. She had no idea why, but the rumor was that her parents had something to do with this. This upset her, because she did not like how others suffered because of her and her parents. Towards the end of her time in Middle School, her parents had a company picnic at the park. There were a few kids there with their parents that worked for hers. They were playing soccer, which intrigued Bethany. So, she asked to join in on the game and they accepted. This was the first time she felt like she'd spent quality time with other kids who weren't afraid of her. She felt, normal. However, all things come to an end. The kids stopped playing to get some food before they would leave with their parents, but Bethany asked if she could keep playing with the ball for a little while longer. The kids parents told her that she could not because they would be leaving shortly. Bethany was okay with that. She said "yes ma'am" and was about to go play elsewhere, until her parents approached with a deadly gleam in their eye. They began to berate the parents for speaking to their daughter in the tone that they did and that she deserved to have their children's ball to play with. This made Bethany cringe as she watched her parents attack the parents of the children. She tugged on her father's arm, begging him to stop, but he wouldn't. He threatened to fire the parents of the children and unfortunately, the parents gave in, handing Bethany the ball and leaving swiftly. Bethany looked at this soccer ball now with regret. Regret that she played with those kids. Regret that she asked to keep playing when she knew they had to leave. Over the summer, she would look at that ball sitting in her room, a constant reminder of what her parents had done. This was when she knew she needed time away from her parents. But how?

One morning, a few private school pamphlets came in the mail, as she would be beginning high school soon. Among those was Pokemon Academy, a 4 year boarding school. She would be able to live in the dorms with other students and without her parents. Immediately, Bethany brought the pamplet to her parents and asked them to send her to this school. And for the first time, her parents began to bargain with her. "Honey, why would you want to go away to a school when you have everything you need at home?" "Wouldn't you like to try this school, look at their program!" For the first time, they were reluctant to give her what she wanted and she understood why. She was their only child. They wanted to keep her under their wings for as long as possible. But Bethany stood firm. She needed this. She needed to be away from her overbearing entitled parents. She needed to learn how to interact with real students and be herself. After hours of debating and begging with her parents, they had no choice but to relent. This was what their little girl wanted. She deserved to have what she wanted. So she was enrolled into Pokemon Academy in the Spring, spending the fall semester packing and being homeschooled so that she could spend as much time as possible with her parents before she left to become her own person in this brand new place.
