Ahaaaa, I really like how this one turned out so I decided to post it separately too...am I the only one that got really emotional at this scene? Actually this entire fight was amazing and feelzy and I just...the final moments of the pacifist gameplay were so amazingly well done and beautiful, I cannot express how much I love when game play is worked into the story like this! ;w; It was at this point when I actually caught a glimpse of Sans's...deeper, more complicated character. It's so interesting, and I really wish there was a "hug" option in all this TwT (ftr I ship Sans and Frisk completely platonically. It has come to my attention that there is indeed a romantic ship for them and I. Honestly cannot get behind that....)

EDIT (repeating because many people seem to be missing this): FTR I DON'T SHIP FRANS. I "ship" them completely platonically, in a sibling or uncle neice/nephew fashion, NOT romantically or sexually. Strange thing to say but... Some people have read the description and are only saying they ship them. they aren't forcing you to call it ship art and they aren't saying its ship art they just see it as ship art. the thing about art is that its in the eye of the beholder so stop being such a prick because they aren't hurting you by perceiving it as shipping art. also the point of comments is to COMMENT on the artwork so if you don't like them seeing your art as non platonic then just turn off the comments. If you're going to be so pissed about people shipping these characters and reasonably perceiving your art as their ship and COMMENTING on it do it. turn the comments off.because a few people are being treated like shit by your fans because they ship these two. So much as only saying "I ship these two" is making your fans rip them limb from limb is utter bullshit. so please tell your fans to stop acting like mid-life crisis cows trying to defend their precious baby from those oh so HORRIBLE people who have a different mind than you and see it as a love/sexual relationship. If anything stop threatening us with turning the comments off because turning the comments off will prevent your fans from being assholes and trying to rape people via hate comments. It will prevent your fans from saying how much they love you thus punishing them rather than the innocent shippers.

The thing is, the artist has made her preferences clear, so anyone who likes her work ought to be respectful of her wishes. Although I agree that ScootaSpark should not have been cussing at sallycat1304 (if that is what you are referring to), sallycat was being disrespectful.
Since Medli finds romantic/sexual shipping between an adult and a child to be upsetting, expressing those shipping preferences on her art against her express wishes IS hurtful to her.
It is Medli's choice whether to turn off comments altogether, or give more respectful viewers a chance to express their appreciation of her art. No one should dictate whether she should turn off comments or not.

I'm not trying to start an argument I'm just trying to speak for the people who feel uncomfortable or embarrassed due to being yelled at for being into different things. ALSO the age of sans was never disclosed OFFICIALLY meaning until Tony fox releases the age at which sans died or the age he is currently it cannot be considered pedophilia. May I also say that though frisk is referenced as a child again it is never disclosed his/her/their exact age officially. The ages of the two characters are created by the fanbase and never exact though heavily referenced the game nor the creator ever explicitly or even vaguely gives any number for their age. I understand the creator's preferences and her reason for feeling uncomfortable for the ship but yet again I don't think it is reasonable to allow her fans to attack younger people just looking for a ship without intervening, I will have you know I9 do not support nor participate in any sort of pedophilia but ships are ships and I can respect the creators wishes to keep shipping the characters to a minimum. Please do not respond to this I do not want this argument to get dragged along and there is no reason for you to either since this is only causing drama. (Also I was not forcing the creator to turn off the comments I was trying to say that it wasn't fair that her fans were not complimenting her work but instead they were yelling at people who were complimenting on the work but shipped the character)

If shippers feel uncomfortable or embarrassed being criticized about their ship, then they would logically refrain from expressing their opinion to a person who very obviously does not share it. To share one's opinion with someone who doesn't agree is an invitation for rebuttal.
Whether the pairing is pedophilia is not the issue here. The issue is that the artist expressed a clear preference about how she wants her work to be treated, and sallycat deliberately violated it.
Medli didn't "allow" anyone to say anything. The fact that sallycat made a comment with a Reply button next to it means that anyone with a DeviantArt account is free to reply.
It's the same for you - you can't make a comment to me and then expect me to just ignore the Reply button if I feel like replying. If you don't want the conversation to continue, then feel free to stop replying first.
sallycat did not compliment Medli's work. All they did was say something that Medli clearly stated beforehand she did not want to hear.

Although I agree with you, I wanted to counsel against using vehement language in sensitive situations like this. Being inflammatory only escalates the situation and makes things worse, and will make the person you're speaking to less inclined to listen rather than more.

Please don't leave comments like that on this artist's drawings, she has clearly stated that her art is platonic, and she has, again, clearly stated that she doesn't like discussion of shipping on her platonic work. It's offensive and disrespectful to ignore her wishes.
