Sorry but it isn't >.< 
Sushi dogs are small animals based on some sweets, with closed eyes :> This is just a puppy, my inspiration for it was shadow and mist. 
It might look similar 'cause I really like sushi dogs too and was learning to draw animals from witchpaws style. In other words I got influenced a lot BUT... I'm still learning, I think in month of two my style will evolve more to be more "my own". 
Still... when I draw adult animals they doesn't look as similar, or when they in other position >.<

Anyway... I'm still learning.... I aiming to draw animals in style similar to this >> 
 
But well.... as for now I could only draw chibi animals or puppies ^^'

Yea,I feel so too! D: But right now this is the only style that I can draw dogs >.<
Before I was practicing on Kawiku old arts so I drew my bby like this:
 
but I wasn't satisfied with it.
Back then it was still to hard for me and in the end I didn't like how his face looked >.<

So I searched for some easy to draw animal arts and found sushidogs. Meanwhile my character design changed (drawing marks was to hard after all ^^' ) so I drew him one more time:

 and from this point this is how I was drawing dogs, although they look similar only as a puppies, or so I think..... When I draw adult characters it looks more different :>

Well... I drew here puppy base in simple pose so if I change that (pose and age.... although I like pups D: )  it will lost feeling of being influenced.

Maybe you don't like idea of learning from others ppl arts BUT... it's the easiest and fastest way to learn. I know what I'm talking about  
I was learning drawing from Sailor Moon and back then my style was very similar (I was 12 back then so it was only similar  ) Later I was learning from Naruto manga drawing characters and at a time I was drawing almost perfectly in author style. and now.... Now my style aren't even near that xD I learned basic and thanks to that I could evolve to my own style :> Which may not look as good but is way less time consuming and less tiring for me ^^ 
Well.... My point is... I know what you mean but right now I only learning to draw animals, with time (a month or two) my arts will become more different :>
And actually I think that only my puppies looks similar so I think I'm on right track >//////<  
Either way I'm sorry but please bear with me for some time >/////<

Actually my inspiration for this pup was mist and shadows xD
But thanks to you I just came up with new CS... SHADOW KITTENS! "Cute yet deadly" xD hahaha xD
