Edward and Alphonse were in the town of Chestnut. a small town hardly on the map. they had just gotten off their train tried form a long day of traveling. Edward stood and stretched as they stood at the stairs outside the train station. Alphonse looked around at the small town and all its small food carts and little shops" this is a nice little town huh brother?" he asked his older brother. Edward yawned and rubbed the back of his neck a bit" yep...kinda reminds me of our home town...." he said" yeah...only smaller" Alphonse said. Edward nodded. suddenly, there was a loud growling sound. Alphonse jumped a bit as it was coming from next to him" what was that? is there a dog near us? a bear?" he asked Edward. the growling then appeared again tell Alphonse then saw it was coming from his older brother. Edward grinned and patted his gut" its just me Al....i'm starving...i have not eaten anything in hours" he said" there was some food on the train you know brother" Al said. Edward frowned" yeah...but the food only came with milk to drink....i cant eat with out a drink and i wont drink milk" Edward said. Al sighed" then i guess we better stop to get you some food then huh?" he said" yep...just real quick...." Ed said as he looked around the small town then spotted a nice colorful bakery" how about there? i could go for a sweet treat right about now" Ed said as he ran to the bakery" hey! wait for me brother!" Al said as he ran after him, his armor body clinging as he ran while Edward's coat flapped in the wind as he was running ahead of Alphonse. once inside it was nice and cool. the place filled with the smell of sweets like cakes, donuts, pies and coffee. many people sat at neat small tables. Ed and Al sat together at one table, waiting to be helped by a waitress. over at the front counter, a young girl around Edward's age was getting ready to go help serve people, taking a break from baking in the back" i'm on it daddy! i'm out here right now" she called back to her dad Rusty who was in the back baking. the girl walked around and wrote everyone's orders tell she then reached Alphonse and Edward and starred a bit at Edward. she bushed deeply as she admired his light yellow hair, his golden eyes, his smile, his coat and long bradded hair. she smiled softly, feeling warm and fuzzy inside. it was love at first sight. she then snapped out of her gaze and walked over closer and had her pen and note pad ready to write on" hello gentle men, my name is Audrey and ill be taking your orders. will they be here or to go?" she asked happily. Edward smiled" hello audrey...id like to have a slice of your cherry cheese cake and a tall glass of orange juice please" he said. she nodded and wrote it all down" sounds good..anything for you sir?" she asked Alphonse, a bit curious of why he was wearing a armor suit, not knowing his body was the suit. Alphonse shook his head" uh...no thank you...." he said kindly" ok then....if you change your mind, feel free to let me know" Audrey said as she left to get Edward his food, looking back at Ed a bit, blushing before she kept walking. Edward and Alphonse noticed and Alphonse giggled a little. Edward looked at his little brother" whats so funny?" he asked" well...from the looks of it...i think that Audrey girl has a crush on you brother" he said. Edward blushed and grinned" what? no...thats silly Al...she's just being nice" he said" i don't know brother....she sure seems like it" Al said Edward frowned a bit and looked back at the counter where Audrey and her parents Rusty and June were working. Edward started to blush more, wondering if his brother was right. he did notice a bit of the signs. he shook it off as they talked and waited. after a few more minutes, Audrey came back with Edward's food" here you are sir..." Audrey said happily" thanks..looks great" Edward said as he took a bit of the cheese cake then smiled amazed, the cheese cake was so sweet and fluffy. a taste of heaven" wow...this cheese cake is amazing" Edward said" thanks...i made it myself this morning" Audrey said then blushed as she watched him take another bit. Edward noticed and blushed a bit as he looked back at her" um...can i help you?" he asked. Audrey blushed more and weakly giggled" i'm sorry...its just...um...might i ask your name please?" she said a bit shyly" sure...um Edward...Edward Elric...and this is my little brother Alphonse Elric" he said" pleased yo meet you" Al said sweetly. audrey nodded" pleased to meet you both...so where are you from?" she asked" here and there really...we're traveling..looking for what we can find on getting a type of stone....thats all i can say" Edward said. Audrey nodded" how fun...well if you ever get hungry and are back in Chestnut...feel free to stop by again" she said. Edward smiled at her" sure...for this cheese cake, id live here and eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner" he said then both him and Audrey laughed. Alphonse giggled lightly , not wanting to get in the middle of their moment. soon they settled down and smiled. Edward finished his juice then stood up" well...we're kinda in a hurry so me and my brother here should get going...thanks for juice and cheese cake" edward said. Audrey nodded" alright then...you two travel safely....hope to see you again someday soon" she said. Edward nodded then paid her for the meal, including a big tip. she looked surprised by the tip then smiled more, blushing" good bye Edward....." she said. he blushed as he and Alphonse left, hearing her say bye at that moment. they walked to the train station as their next train was coming. Alphonse noticed Edward stood blushing still and was silent" you ok brother your sure quiet all of a sudden" he said. Edward blushed more and nodded" yeah...i'm fine Al...just...thinking.." he said" Of Audrey?" eh giggled. Edward blushed bright red and pushed him a bit" shut up" he chuckled, both brothers now laughing tell they soon settled and saw their Train coming. the smoke blowing behind it and the horn blown loudly as it reached the station. Alphonse looked down at his big brother" well...we'll see her again one day i'm sure..." he said then remembered Winry" brother?....who do you have a bigger crush for? Winry or Audrey?" he asked. Edward blushed more and looked down a bit, thinking about that then grinned and pushed Al on the train a bit" enough about girls for one day Al...lets just get to the next town....we need to focus on getting our bodies back...remember? " he said. Alphonse nodded" right..." he said and went on the train, dropping the question. Edward got on the train and walked in his seat as him and Alphonse sat together. the train soon left the station, heading for the next town. as him and Al sat looking out the window next to them, Edward started to wonder about the question a bit more that Alphonse asked him. he thought of all the times with Winry and what he knew about her. then the bad times or annoying times they had. he sighed and brushed his fingers through his bangs as he felt the bumps on his head from all the times Winry threw tools at his head. he then started thinking of today and Audrey. he blushed deeply as he could picture her in his head. she was like the cheese cake he ate that day. sweet. he closed his eyes a bit as he grew tired and kept thinking of Winry then Audrey tell he then wondered to himself" do i like Winry more?.....or Audrey...." he asked himself in his mind. the train now far away from the small town of Chestnut.
