.......I know I'm gonna get hate for this.......

I don't hate Starlight Glimmer. In fact, I kinda like her and think she has quite a bit of potential for being a very likable and compelling character. Too bad nobody else thinks so! Ok I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get what I mean. I share a very VERY minority opinion here and I've never felt so alienated in a LONG time. That's right. I feel alienated in a fandom that (on it's surface) doesn't even know the meaning of the word. It took about four years for it to happen, but it happened. I shouldn't be too shocked, but I digress.

So why don't I hate Starlight? Well, I'd tell you.
But, one: I've literally have a huge essay's worth of why, so I'm not gonna go on a litany and fill this description up with why I disagree with just about everyone on this damn planet, just for it to fall on deaf ears.
And two: three people who agree with me has explained it best.

First is this guy on FIMFiction called Evowizard25. He's a fan of Starlight Glimmer AND Sunset Shimmer. And he wrote two blogs about the subject:

Second is another FIMFiction person, by the name of Harmony Charmer. And She did a review of the Season 5 finale. Funny thing is, she really didn't like what they did with Starlight. But then she came across something that caused her to change her mind.

And finally we have 's video called Should Starlight Glimmer Have Been Reformed?.

They pretty much say what I think (especially Evowizard25). I might go into more detail later either here or YouTube (Once I get a microphone) but for now, I'll just leave it at that. So please, no hate. No filling the comment section with how "WRONG" I am. And don't worry. I completely understand where people who hate her are coming from and I'm not gonna act like how the finale and Starlight was handled was flawless. But it's FAR from the worst thing the show has ever done. Hopefully those three blogs and one video will at least show you guys where I, and the few out there who agree with me are coming from.

But if you really feel obligated to complain about Starlight any further and how liking her is somehow wrong....
Well I think JonTron said it best.

So here's Starlight feeling unbelievably bad about everything she has done and doesn't feel that she deserves forgiveness, and Twilight tries to comfort her and assure her that everything's fine now. The past is in the past and she has nowhere to go but up from here. And that she needs to forgive herself and keep moving forward. But Starlight still has doubts. And Sunset coming to visit Twilight and to an extent, meet Starlight and happens to overhear and walk in on this scene. She herself gives her own two cents on the matter and agrees with Twilght in the fact that her 'past is not today'. Starlight is still not sure about it though.........

You know what, I just might write a fanfiction around this.

I would've finished this earlier, but the Starlight hate has been spreading like wildfire and I didn't wanna get caught up in it so I kept putting it off. But I've finally worked up the courage to finish and upload it.
With Season six comin' up soon, Hopefully I won't regret this........
