I wanted to do something a little special & a little spooky for Earth Day this year. Hedorah has always been one of my favorite Godzilla villains for many reasons, particularly his frightening design, horrid powers, sadistic personality, & the symbolism behind the character. Even though Godzilla vs. Hedorah is not one of my favorite Godzilla movies, it's still quite the ambitious film for the anti-pollution message it was trying to convey. Plus, it was one of the first Godzilla movies I saw as a kid (had it on DVD), so I've got quite the nostalgia for it. In fact, when I was younger, I even made a YouTube series about him. But anyway, if there's anything I learned from this movie, it's don't pollute & ruin the environment, otherwise you might end up creating some weird sludge monster that suffocates anything that lives & breathes just by flying over them.
