Have a short story to go with this pic...

June had it all planned out; scout the sunken ship, formerly belonging to a famous explorer, for any lost treasures and valuables. She did her research and had the ship's original design documents and worked out a route through the ship to explore. Since Sheena was adamant to explore the wreck before they had acquired their diving gear, June needed to make sure she knew the layout of the ship. After all, what if they didn't know their way around and got lost inside the ship? They'd run out of air before they could find the way out! And so after much planning, both Sheena and June being satisfied they were prepared for their task, they dove down deep into the wreckage of the sunken ship. June, knowing the layout well, took the lead as Sheena followed. The route was simple; swim through a few key rooms, down a few decks, before making their way out the way they came in.

As they swam below the decks into the holds, June checked her watch to make sure they had good time; she had a good idea about how long she could hold her breath, so a few more minutes should be fine! They had reached the end of their route and were about to make their way back. But suddenly the ship wreck, perhaps being disturbed by these two naive explorers, started to tip. The terrain on which it was laying on was apparently unstable, and years of being waterlogged had made the structure more fragile than they thought. A large crash could be heard from the passage way they came from; the ceiling had collapsed! They were trapped!!

Sheena made a brief effort to move the debris but it was no use, quickly and frantically they both looked for another way out! June began to panic, cursing herself for making a route that lead to a dead end! It wasn't long before they saw the only source of light on the ceiling of the holds; a grate that lead to the upper decks. Sheena tried to open the gate, but it was stuck firm. It appeared to have hinges though, and there didn't seem to be any kind of lock. It seemed as if it was rusted shut. Sheena tugged harder, pushing it back and forth. After some time, the grate was rattling more, the vibrations seemed to be loosening it, and it seemed like they would have a way out soon.

But it might not be soon enough, as June was approaching her limit! As her chest began to heave and convulse, she clasped her hands over her nose and mouth, her eyes widening as she tried to resist the urge to breath. Sheena worked harder to open the rusted grate, seeing the fear in her best friend's eyes she tried valiantly to open the grate faster. Suddenly, June violently starts choking on the water! Unable to control her breath anymore, she began to cough out the air in her lungs, her frightened gasps, though muffled in the seawater, were audible through the room as her body began to convulse and spasm as she tried to breath.

Sheena herself was beginning to panic, she was approaching her limit too, and she could feel the burning in her lungs as they cried for air. But all Sheena could think about was June, if she didn't get the grate open soon, June would be a goner! She clenched her teeth and with all her strength pulled on the grate as hard as she could...
