>> PROLOGUE
In this perfectly clean metropolis, there had been a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature for years. The city was breathtakingly beautiful and the architecture spoke of a magnificent creativity and attention to detail. The people were proud of their city and worked hard to make it even more beautiful.
But on this warm autumn day, everything changed. Suddenly, a massive portal opened and a giant blonde woman with bright blue eyes, standing nearly 200 meters tall, stepped out from another dimension. She wore a white shirt and blue jeans and was barefoot. At first, people thought it was a vision or a dream, but quickly realized she was deadly real.
The extremely huge giantess immediately began to destroy everything in her path. Buildings were crushed like sandcastles and people were trampled like ants. Despite her beauty, she was absolutely deadly. The people of the city were in a panic and desperately tried to protect themselves from her, but it was hopeless.
The giantess moved with unimaginable strength and speed through the streets, leaving a trail of devastation behind her. The people had to accept that their perfect city was doomed to destruction.
A saleswoman stood at her stall in the market square, enjoying the perfect day, when suddenly a loud rumbling caught her attention. Janoska turned around and saw the towering giantess slowly approaching her and the other people. Panic broke out and the people tried to flee, but it was already too late for them.
Janoska tried to quickly pack up her goods, but she was paralyzed. The giantess approached her stand and she closed her eyes, expecting the worst. But suddenly she felt a strong hand that grabbed her and tried to pull her away from her stand.
She opened her eyes and saw a young man who wanted to bring her to safety. She followed him, but they couldn't be fast enough to escape the giantess. They heard the rumbling of her footsteps behind them and knew it was only a matter of time before they were caught.
The young man looked around and realized they had no chance. He pushed Janoska to the side and stood in the way of the giantess. Janoska screamed as she saw the giantess’s foot falling onto him crushing him instantly with a thundering boom. Janoska fell to the ground and felt her world collapsing.
The mighty giantess's beautiful but equally deadly barefoot slowly rose, revealing her perfectly shaped footprint in which were crumbled buildings and the completely crushed remains of several people, including the young man who had just saved Janoska's life.
The ruthless giantess continued her rampage and destroyed everything in her surroundings while Janoska lay dazed on the ground. The tiny woman watched as the giantess moved further and further, destroying everything in her wake.
>> INTRO
Hello you down there! I'm Lyxe, a 662 ft. tall axolotl kaiju-girl!
I can breathe underwater and have incredible regenerative abilities, typical of axolotls. I have a long tail that I could theoretically use as a weapon, and of course I have huge feet to flatten and crush anything under.
My best friend Ryung is an Asian giantess dedicated to helping planets in need. But Ryung has been missing for several months and I am very worried about her. I search for her everywhere and do not hesitate to use Ryung's portal technology to search for my missing friend even on distant planets.
Although I've been unsuccessful in my quest so far, at least I've been able to help others in need. Well, I also had a lot of fun when I admittedly wrecked some cities, but I was really able to help a lot of people too.
You don’t believe me, because I’m just a huge destructive monster, right?
How could a giant kaiju-girl like me do any good?
Here is an example, I saved the inhabitants of an entire planet that was about to die. I was able to evacuate most of the planet's population before it was destroyed by ruthless miners.
As a gigantic creature that can get even bigger due to the size-changing and giga-gowth technology of my high-tech bracelet, this task was quite manageable. I put many people in my backpack, carried others with my hands, and even picked some up with the soles of my feet so they stuck to them. And I brought them all into my world through the portal, where they are save now.
I can look back happily and say that I saved as many people from this planet as possible. The people of this ancient civilization were very grateful, even though they initially thought I was a giant monster from hell. Now they're all just happy to be alive, even if they have to get used to planet of Mogora (my current homeworld), where all of nature is vast and gigantic compared to humans.
However. That should suffice as a brief introduction to myself. I hope you enjoy the following story.
>> On Mogora:
Today, Lyxe sat cross-legged in her garden, gazing at the tiny people contained in a glass container that was set into the earthy floor before her.
To her it was like watching ants in a terrarium.
Most people simply went about their daily work to make a living, but some occasionally looked up gratefully at the huge Axolotl girl and waved to her. Typically, Lyxe wearily waved back with a smile, happy that she had saved these people and kept them alive. And they were truly adorable little creatures! Although she hadn't fully grasped the fact that these human beings weren't actually small, but rather she herself was gigantic! Standing at 202 meters tall, Lyxe was one of the largest bipedal beings in the entire known universe!
Despite being aware of her size and power, she was far from arrogant. While she relished the feeling of being immense and overpowering others, she knew she was vulnerable and in need of others. And right now, she needed her friend Ryung more than ever, but she was nowhere to be found!
As she observed the tiny people and daydreamed sadly, she suddenly felt a small touch on her left hand. Surprised, she looked down to see Bartos was standing there. He was the mayor of one of the villages she had saved from the destroyed planet of Antharo.
"What's troubling you, Lyxe? You look concerned," he said softly.
"Oh, hello Bartos, good to see you. It's... It's nothing, I'm fine."
"Lyxe, the honor is all mine. You know we are forever indebted to you and cannot thank you enough for everything you've done for us."
"Oh, not at all! I enjoyed doing it. It was actually my duty to help you."
Bartos wasn't interested in small talk, so he brushed aside Lyxe's last remark and got back to the heart of the matter. "Now, come on, something is bothering you. Let me know and you will feel better."
Lyxe sighed heavily and then said, "I told you about my friend Ryung, didn't I?"
"You mean the giantess who disappeared?"
"Exactly. I only saved your planet because it was on her list. And believe me, if she hadn't vanished, she would have intervened earlier and saved many more people than I could."
Bartos pondered for a moment. "Well, that may be true. But now that she's gone, you came to our aid, and that's how it happened. I am grateful that you saved us. Otherwise, we would all be dead, scattered among the stars as nothing more but stardust."
"You're very kind."
"I'm just stating the truth."
Lyxe smiled gratefully and nodded. "Yes, I know. But I still worry about Ryung. She's like a sister to me, and I want to know where she is and if she's alright."
Bartos nodded understandingly. "I understand you. But you shouldn't give up, Lyxe. I'm sure you will find Ryung, and if she's in trouble, you will be able to help her. You have already proven that you are a mighty creature and that you can help others. And I believe you can also help Ryung."
Lyxe smiled again, this time with a bit more confidence. "Thank you, Bartos. I know I shouldn't give up. I will keep searching for Ryung, and I won't stop until I find her."
Bartos nodded in agreement. "I'm sure you will find her. And if you need any help, remember that you can always turn to us. We're always here for you."
Lyxe nodded gratefully. "I truly appreciate that, Bartos. Thank you for always being there for me with your advice. And I'm very thankful that you care very much for all the others. That is very helpful."
Bartos smiled. "Of course. We are all interconnected in this universe and must help one another. And you, Lyxe, are a wonderful example of how much good can be done when one uses their powers for the benefit of others."
Lyxe smiled happily and thanked him once again. She knew she had a long search ahead of her, but she was more confident than ever that she would find Ryung. And she knew she could rely on Bartos and the others when she needed help.
Then Bartos cleared his throat. "Since we're on the topic of help, it's embarrassing for me to ask, but..."
Lyxe looked directly at him. "Oh, do you need help with the berries and fruits again?"
"I'm afraid so. You know, we don't come from this planet, and your fruits here are cursedly enormous, if I may say so. We had a good harvest, but our farmers don't have tools big enough to crack open berries and nuts of such magnitude..."
Lyxe smiled gleefully. "I know. And I'm always happy to help, especially with such simple tasks!"
She placed her open palm on the ground, allowing the elderly man to climb onto it, and then Lyxe stood up to her full height. "Okay, where should I go? Terrarium 3?"
"No. This harvest was in Terrarium 4. Just over there."
Lyxe took tremor-inducing steps in that direction, stopping in front of the terrarium, also embedded in the ground, and looked down at the many small farmers at her feet. "So, you want me to crush something for you?" she asked amusedly.
The farmers, still in awe of the immense size of the Axolotl girl, looked up at her with a mixture of reverence and shame. Some of them shouted loudly, "Yes! Exactly!" and pointed to their small pile of fruits and nuts.
Lyxe signaled to the people to make room and then stepped one leg into the open terrarium, causing the people to quickly move out of the way, making space for her gigantic foot. "This will be a piece of cake," she said with a hint of anticipation. Then she raised her enormous barefoot above the pile and slowly lowered it, giving the few farmers who were still beneath her sole a chance to move to safety.
As her foot touched the ground, there was a loud crack and crunch as the berries and nuts were impressively crushed under her immense weight. The farmers watched in fascination and disbelief as Lyxe effortlessly smushed the harvest under her barefoot. Lyxe withdrew her foot and looked satisfied with the result. "There you go. Is there anything else I can help with?"
The farmers shook their heads in awe and simply thanked her for her assistance. Lyxe nodded kindly and turned to leave. As she walked away, she noticed some of the farmers rushing towards the crushed fruits and berries, starting to gather the mushy pieces. She grinned delighted at the sight, glad that her help was appreciated.
But then, suddenly, some of the villagers, mostly women, approached Lyxe's feet and bowed before her. The colossal Axolotl girl looked down at them with surprise. "Well, what's going on?" she asked.
A woman stood up, slightly embarrassed, and looked up at the incredibly huge Lyxe. "Well, we don't want to waste any part of the harvest since it took us a lot of work, time and effort. So, would you mind if we collect the remains of the crushed fruits still sticking to the sole of your foot?"
Lyxe looked at the villagers and smiled understandingly. "Of course, you can collect the remains of the fruits. I don't want your hard work to go to waste."
She carefully lowered herself to the ground to get in a comfortable sitting position and then slowly slid her foot forward, the one that had crushed the harvest, so that the women could better collect the squashed fruits.
The villagers got to work quickly and started to collect some sticking pieces of fruits from the giant monster girls sole.
Some of the younger village women seemed particularly eager, even starting to lick the fruit juice stuck to Lyxe's soles, determined not to waste anything. It tickled Lyxe a bit, causing her to flinch, but she maintained her composure and let the women do their work. "You are very diligent," Lyxe said, squinting her eyes as she enjoyed the ticklish sensation on her sole. "I hope the harvest was worth it," the colossal monster girl stammered.
"Yes, it definitely was," said a woman named Elara, unable to tear her gaze away from Lyxe's beautiful, enormous feet. She knelt before her, gazing at them in awe. "They are truly astonishing," she said admiringly. "So large and perfectly shaped."
Lyxe smiled sheepishly. "What? My feet? Thank you, Elara. But I don't want to belittle anyone or feel superior. It's sometimes really uncomfortable for me, having everyone at my feet."
Elara stood up and pressed herself against Lyxe's soft sole. "But Lyxe, you have to understand the role you play because of your giant size. For us ordinary people, it's the most natural place to be at your feet. We are small down here on the ground. And besides, we respect you for who you are, not out of false subservience."
Lyxe couldn't see Elara because the tiny woman was hidden behind her foot, but she could feel her movements all the more clearly. And knowing that Elara was sincere and truly felt the way she said helped Lyxe better understand her role as a protector in this part of the galaxy.
"I understand," Lyxe said thoughtfully. "I greatly appreciate your words."
Just as Elara was about to cuddle Lyxe's toes, a distant alarm suddenly sounded. Even for Lyxe, it was unfamiliar, and she was particularly surprised when she realized it was coming from Ryung's house, which was built in an Asian style but partly carved into a mountain.
Lyxe moved her giant foot away from Elara and the other tiny villagers, carefully standing up to her full height. "Huh? I've never heard such an alarm before."
"What does it mean?" Elara asked anxiously.
Lyxe shrugged. "I have no idea, but I'll go check it out. Maybe I'll find out. But anyway, as a giant, it's my concern, not yours, small people. So please just go back to work and help the farmers."
Lyxe walked away and cautiously entered Ryung's house, stepping through the typically Asian-designed rooms that were unrivaled in their well crafted simplicity. Eventually, Lyxe found the room from which the signal was emanating. The room contained several computers and screens, some apparatus, and a workbench. She remembered that Ryung used to work here often, probably planning and preparing her missions from this place.
There, she saw a holographic representation of an elderly-looking Asian face hovering in the middle of the room. "Hello, Lyxe," the female face said with a nervous voice.
Lyxe widened her eyes. "I remember seeing you before when Ryung was still here. What was your name again?"
The face raised an eyebrow. "Just call me Su-We."
Lyxe was surprised but also frightened as Su-We told her that a distant world was under attack and that Lyxe had to travel through a portal to check what was happening there. Otherwise, millions of lives could be wiped out.
Lyxe was speechless. "I... I don't understand," she stammered. "I'm just a simple giantess. How am I supposed to assess the situation alone? What is happening? And why are millions of lives in danger? Is the planet being destroyed? Like what happened on Antharo back in the day? I mean, I don't want to be caught off guard by such infernal flames again!"
Su-We sighed. "I know it's a lot to ask, but unfortunately, I don't have any further information. My scanners only show that numerous life signs are disappearing. It appears to be a terrible attack on a single city. That's all I can say, and you are the only one who can investigate it. I hope you can save these people!"
Lyxe wasn't sure if she could do it. But she knew she had to take action. It was her duty! "I will try," she finally said. "Ryung would do the same. So, I have to take care of it while she's not here."
Su-We sent her the coordinates on her wrist-computer and explained how she should proceed. Lyxe was nervous, but she knew she couldn't waste any time. She opened a portal and stepped through, ready to find herself in another unfamiliar world.
>> ARCHENEMY AHEAD!
The city's inhabitants screamed and ran in all directions as they saw the colossal figure of the blonde giantess, moving mightily, menacingly, and extremely lethally through the streets! She stood about 600 feet tall, her eyes as blue as the sky. The residents could only watch as she trampled numerous houses and people with her bare feet, as if she intended to annihilate an ant colony.
"What the hell is happening?!" a woman screamed, clutching her children's hands.
"We need to get out of here!" a man shouted, running towards his carriage.
The residents fled in all directions, some running through gardens and backyards, while others simply tried to leave the city as quickly as possible. Chaos, screams, and the crashing of collapsing buildings echoed everywhere.
A woman named Kira held her two children tightly by the hands as she ran through the overcrowded streets of the city. The crowds had panicked and were trying to find safety, but it seemed hopeless. Kira knew she had to act quickly and thoughtfully to protect her children.
Suddenly, she heard a deafening noise, and as she turned around, she saw the colossal barefoot of the giantess crashing onto a row of houses!
The foreign giantess, with her luminous golden hair that already seemed otherworldly even without her enormous size, had already trampled countless houses and people alike. Kira couldn't believe what she was seeing. She knew that she and her children were in mortal danger. But how could they defend themselves against a giantess like this? Was there even any chance for them to survive this day?
Kira tried to push through the crowd and get her children out of the danger zone, but it was too late. A dark shadow loomed over them all as the giantess lifted her gigantic barefoot over them with just a small step.
Desperate people everywhere screamed in absolute terror as the giantess lowered her foot, pressing them all to the ground. Kira screamed as well, trying to push her children aside, but the giantess had already trapped them under the sole of her foot, along with Kira herself and countless others.
The pain was unbearable, and Kira felt her life slowly slipping away. She could only think of her children and hope that they were safe. But sadly they were not.
Men, women, and children alike were slowly flattened and utterly crushed under the enormously huge barefoot of the giant woman. Kira suffered the same fate as her children and everyone around her. The foreign giantess grinned triumphantly as she heard the cracking and crunching sounds, feeling countless people being crushed to death beneath her sensitive sole.
Ulrike sighed with satisfaction and looked down upon the fearful people scattered everywhere around her, either paralyzed as they stared up at her or frantically attempting to flee. "I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Ulrike, from a world you have never heard of before. You all certainly fear me, and rightly so, for I am a Collector, and I have come to crush you all to gather your life energy," she declared in a resounding voice.
The gigantic woman briefly crouched down, a mix of fascination and feigned pity in her eyes as she gazed upon the crowd at her feet. "I know you don't want to die. And I am aware that each and every one of you is an infinitely valuable individual, with friends and families and so on..."
As she spoke, she gently stroked the crowd with her index finger, touching their heads and even knocking some of them over.
Withdrawing her finger, she took a deep breath. "And that is precisely what makes it so special for me to crush you underfoot. Your lives, no matter how diverse and precious they may be, all end under my wonderful soles. Isn't that exciting?"
Ulrike smiled gently down at the fearful crowd, relishing in their obvious terror.
Then she slowly rose to her full height and asked, "Are you ready for your demise beneath my feet? If not, you'd better prepare yourselves."
The people screamed in despair once again, and they ran frantically in all directions as Ulrike lifted her barefoot for the next step. She laughed playfully. "Always the same with you. As if you had a chance to escape me."
But, of course, there was no escape. Ulrike's enormous foot came down upon a large group of helpless people, mercilessly pressing them all down.
There was a loud crunch, and screams were silenced as the blonde giantess gradually applied more weight onto her foot, savoring every moment.
"Each step I take brings me more energy," Ulrike declared contentedly. "I derive so much pleasure from feeling your pitiful bodies getting crushed beneath my bare sole."
Some people begged her to stop, but Ulrike ignored them and continued, her feet like mighty presses, crushing and pulverizing everything and everyone beneath them. Meanwhile, Ulrike relished in the feeling of power that collecting life energy gave her, determined to gather as much as she possibly could.
>> THE MISSION
The gigantic axolotl girl looked around in astonishment on the foreign planet.
Lyxe stood at the edge of a picturesque lake, marveling at the magnificent nature of the planet, where everything was so much smaller compared to her home world. She looked around and discovered a variety of plants and animals she had never seen before. Some small, playful creatures hopped around and some of them even onto her huge feet, and she smiled as she felt their ticklish touch.
"What strange creatures live here," Lyxe mused to herself as she observed the little beings that resembled a type of leaping dog.
But suddenly, she noticed dense clouds of smoke rising in the distance from the corner of her eye. Her expression grew serious, and she knew she had to act. As a mighty giantess, it was her duty to protect the existence of life on other planets, but she also knew she had to be prepared for anything. She took out her communication device from her pocket and activated it.
"Su-We, I have arrived and have noticed that there are indeed problems here. I see plumes of smoke in the distance, possibly caused by a big fire or something."
A holographic image of Su-We's Asian face appeared in front of her and replied, "Lyxe, I'm glad you have arrived. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with any further data, but if you describe everything to me you encounter on your way, I might be able to draw conclusions."
Lyxe nodded determinedly and gathered her courage. "It's definitely good to hear your voice; it makes me feel less alone."
The gigantic axolotl monster girl headed towards the plumes of smoke, marveling at the foreign yet breathtakingly beautiful nature of the planet. She walked through forests filled with exotic trees that barely reached her ankles and made satisfying crunching sounds beneath her soles whenever she stepped on some of them. She saw colorful animals darting around the trees that she had never seen before, and here and there, she admired magnificent treetops with bright yellow leaves that seemed to glow in the sunlight. If she didn't have more important matters to attend to, she would love to pause and simply admire the stunning nature of this wonderful world. But then she looked back at the plumes of smoke rising in the distance.
"That can't be good," she murmured, concerned, and started to run towards the clouds of smoke, causing tremors with each of her powerful steps, trampling countless trees and bushes beneath her feet.
As Lyxe approached, she found a city that was heavily devastated. Ruins and burning houses were everywhere, with black plumes of smoke rising from them. Next to one of these columns of smoke stood a gigantic woman - slightly smaller than Lyxe herself - who seemed to be busy crushing fleeing people underfoot.
Lyxe was so surprised by the sight that she stood there in a state of shock, watching the blonde giantess, who - she had to admit - was stunningly beautiful, as she mercilessly and with pure joy crushed an entire group of people beneath her barefoot.
With a pounding heart, Lyxe glanced around briefly and saw all the destruction and countless gory human remains scattered everywhere.
"What... What are you doing?" she finally asked uncertainly, still shocked by all the suffering and death around her.
The foreign giantess startled, turned around, and drew a weapon of a kind Lyxe had never seen before. But instead of answering the question, the foreign giantess, surprised by Lyxe's alien appearance, exclaimed, "What the hell are you?!"
When the purple Axolotl girl noticed that the human-like giantess appeared genuinely surprised and even fearful of her, she tried to seize this advantage and spoke this time with great confidence and assertiveness, "I ask the questions! And I ask again: Who are you, and what are you doing here? You have killed all these people, haven't you?"
The blonde giant woman suddenly grinned. "Honestly, I didn't expect to encounter other giants, especially not a talking monster like you! I am Ulrike, a Collector. And who are you, if I may ask?"
Lyxe squinted her eyes, feeling a surge of great anger within her.
"My name is Lyxe, and yes, I am a monster, but unlike you, I try to help people in need!"
Ulrike laughed loudly. "Oh, is that so? Then you can help me kill even more people because I need their life energy." She raised her foot demonstratively over a group of trembling people as she said that.
Lyxe immediately stepped forward, arm outstretched. "No! Wait! Don't do that!"
But the mean giantess had already completed her step, crushing all the helpless people beneath her. There was a loud crunch under her foot as Ulrike admitted, "It feels so good to end their lives. I could do this all day! Don't you want to give it a try too?"
Full of rage, the axolotl monster girl let out a loud roar, her voice echoing like thunder through the area, even making the giant Ulrike's ears ring!
Lyxe charged forward, executed a spinning motion, and swung her mighty tail towards Ulrike.
The blonde giantess managed to duck just in time, raised her weapon, and fired a red laser beam at Lyxe, which luckily was blocked by her protective energy-shield.
Ulrike stood up, perplexed. "Oops, a shield? I want one of those too!"
Lyxe turned to her and hissed bitterly, "So you have no protection? Good to know! Then eat plasma!" She quickly activated the blaster integrated into her wristband and fired an orange-glowing plasma beam at Ulrike. But before it could hit her, the blonde giantess grew exponentially, so that Lyxe suddenly stood in her shadow, looking up at her.
The now giga-sized Ulrike arrogantly looked down upon the axolotl girl. "I would love to play with you a bit more, little one, but I have more important stuff to do here."
Lyxe was so shocked that she didn't manage to activate her own Giga-Growth in time. Just a second later, Ulrike's barefoot thundered down on her with full force.
Darkness. A muffled rumble. Pain that seemed to penetrate her entire body.
Breathing was difficult, and she felt dazed and utterly exhausted. Slowly, she opened her eyes and tried to stand up, but her whole body felt weak and heavy.
"What? What happened?" Lyxe whispered, feeling as though she had aged 40 years.
Dazed, she looked around, but there was no trace of the unfamiliar giantess. Everything around her was flat, completely flattened.
Lyxe widened her eyes and quickly stood up, ready to fight again. But there was no one there.
Ulrike had vanished.
Gasping for breath, Lyxe glanced at the chronometer on her bracelet. "What? I, I was unconscious for over 4 hours?"
Then she looked around intensively and realized that nothing remained of the once bustling metropolis. Everything was completely flattened, and she herself stood in one of the gigantic footprints left by the giantess who had grown to Giga-size.
"No! No... no, no, no!!! This can't be!" Lyxe gasped and ran around, searching for survivors, but apparently, everyone was dead!
She quickly glanced at her bracelet; the protective shield was still active. "Wait, at least those who were near me should have survived."
She returned to the footprint, which stretched nearly a kilometer long, and began searching for survivors in the ruins at her feet.
And indeed, she found a few scattered people who were still alive, but they were very, very few.
"She had already crushed almost everyone here," Lyxe whispered to herself as tears ran down her cheek.
She gathered the injured, traumatized, and bereaved individuals and gently placed them all in the palm of her opened hand. Then she whispered reassuring words to them, "Don't be afraid. I don't want to harm you. I... I came to help."
At that moment, a powerful wave of sorrow washed over Lyxe. She could no longer hold back and began crying loudly, "I have failed! I... I'm sorry! I’m so so sorry! So many have died, and I can't do anything about it!"
She stumbled to a nearby lake and fell to her knees, sobbing bitterly.
But when she saw her reflection on the water's surface, another shock hit her: she was old!
In disbelief, she touched her face with her free hand and noticed it was wrinkled and lined. "What has happened to me?"
Then she heard the faint voice of a man in her hand, "It was her. She drained everyone's life energy. Everyone else is dead, and we survivors aged extremely."
Lyxe looked at her hand and observed all the people lying in her palm. Indeed, they all looked quite old.
The axolotl monster gasped, "But how is this possible? And why did she do this? Why does she kill so many people? Why? Why? I don’t get it!"
A woman in her hand looked up sadly at Lyxe and spoke, "We can be grateful that we're still alive. I witnessed her crushing thousands as if they were nothing but dirt to her. By the way, my name is Janoska. Thank you for standing up for us! Whoever you are, you are certainly not a monster."
Under normal circumstances, Lyxe would have reaffirmed that she was indeed a monster and that she is perceived as such everywhere. But she didn't have the strength to argue and had completely different concerns.
Sniffling, she activated the life sign scanner on her ankle bracelet, displaying the data on her bracelet. She continued walking through the city, gathering all the survivors she could find.
After a few hours, she had only found 219 people. No one else had survived.
Since these people had lost everything and obviously needed medical assistance and probably mental help too, Lyxe decided to take them to Mogora, her homeworld.
She opened a portal and returned.
The people she had rescued or gathered from other planets, who now lived in her garden, warmly and compassionately welcomed the 219 survivors, immediately providing them with the best care they could offer. However, they couldn't undo the trauma and immense pain they had endured.
Lyxe watched as the little ones were attended to and cast a grateful glance at Bartos.
Bartos could barely meet her gaze, as he could all too well imagine the immense emotional pain Lyxe was currently experiencing. He wondered how the young giantess managed to bear such pressure at all. That was the fate of a true heroine. He wanted to be there for her and simply said, "Let's talk about it later, Lyxe. I will listen attentively."
Lyxe sadly nodded at him and then went wordlessly to Ryung's house, where she sought out Su-We.
Before Lyxe could say anything, Su-We said calmly, "I know what you want to know. The aging won't be permanent. Your vital signs are already improving rapidly, thanks to your physiology and your exceptionally good regenerative abilities. You’re lucky to be an axolotl giantess. I think in a few days, you'll be back to your old self. I mean, the young self."
Lyxe looked at the hologram sadly, "What about the survivors?"
The hologram contorted its face thoughtfully, "They will recover, but they won't be able to regain their youth like before. They were lucky to have survived at all. Thanks to you."
A tear rolled down Lyxe's face, "Thanks to me? It doesn't feel like a success. In this city, millions of people lived, and I only saved 219. I have completely failed!"
Su-We couldn't entirely disagree, but it was clear that the axolotl girl was being too hard on herself. "You shouldn't see it that way. You didn't know what awaited you. We had never encountered hostile giants before, let alone ones with such peculiar abilities."
Lyxe looked at Su-We with rage, "That's true! Next time, I'll be prepared! I will kill this Ulrike! She must suffer for her evil deeds! I will tear her apart!"
With these words, Lyxe turned around and walked outside. She would regenerate. She would train and prepare herself. And when the time came, she would strike with full force and no mercy!
Su-We watched the gigantic axolotl girl with concern. "I hope she knows what she's doing. If only Ryung were here..."
