Description
Sleipnir is a magical horse with eight legs capable of flying, of going to the underworld and is also the fastest horse between the realms, he is the son of the god Loki with Svadilfari, the gray horse, it was not a mare it was a horse itself, I explain that. When Thor, the giant killer, was away from Asgard slaying giants, one hrimthurs (frost giants) appeared in Asgard and offered to rebuild the wall that was falling in exchange for the sun, moon and the goddess Freya, the gods agreed, but gave him six months, otherwise Thor go back and kill him , the giant accepted the condition and took the opportunity to ask if he could use his gray horse Svadilfari, before the gods could reply Loki allowed , the gods were a little angry with Loki, and said that if they lost Freya, they would torture Loki eternally,Loki enchanted the stallion Svadilfari, becoming a beautiful white mare, when the giant saw that his horse had disappeared, became angry and began to destroy the wall, but Thor arrived and smashed the giant with his hammer (Mjolnir), Loki became pregnant and had the horse Sleipnir, the gods decided not to torture him, because thought that the pregnancy had been enough.
Sleipnir had runes (ancient alphabet) carved on his teeth.
hehehe poor Loki.
Please, let me see what you think! I hope you enjoy.

I never heard about Sleipnir or the god of Loki before, this is interesting. It's not from Greek, isnt it? Btw, nice pic!

No, it's Norse (Viking people from northern Europe), Viking mythology is so rich as Greek, is only less widespread. My mother is Scandinavian, so it's like a tribute to my ancestors. Thank you very much!

WOW - great megalobo - and, yes, I did have to count the legs more than once.
Lovely work again my friend.

Nice pose... an eight-legged horse is a bit of a challenge... I have a problem with the four-legged variety! Did you imagine this pose yourself, or was there a reference for it? Like a statue or something?

I used as reference a photo of a beautiful Arabian horse, for the 4 extra legs, well ... I had to improvise. Glad you enjoyed, thank you.
