When Simba and Kiara finished their conversation and headed back to Pride Rock, Zira climbed out of the tree she used as cover and went back to the Outlands. To make sure she wasn't spotted on her way out of the Pride Lands, she took her time. Zira didn't arrive home till morning. She gave a roar to alert her pride that she was back. You see, Zira has been living in the Pride Lands under radar for the past month. She wanted a close eye on the royal family and who better to do it than herself. She lived in the Pride Lands before she was exiled and knew the land like the back of her paw.

Zira left Vitani in charge of her pride while she was gone. She would've appointed Kovu to the position but she didn't want her prince to be burdened with the responsibilities while he had so much training left to do

Vitani was the first to greet her mother, followed by Nuka trailing behind her.

"Mother, welcome back. It's been a while." said Vitani.

"Status report," Zira said shortly.

Vitani stood straight and cleared her throat. "No unusual active while patrolling. Everything is still quiet around here. Food is becoming more scarce by the day but Nuka did manage to find and kill a Bunyoro Rabbit today. First fresh meat there's been in a while."

Zira smiled. "And what of the future King? Where is his location?"

"Kovu is training with Imara and Kasi while Tazama analyzes his movements and flaws."

"Perfect. Go and fetch him and the others. It's time I see how much my prince has grown during the time I was gone," said Zira.

Vitani gave a confused look to her older brother. "Don't you want to rest for a little bit? You've just got home."

Zira chuckled, "Oh I wish I could but our plan is finally in motion. So much to do, so little time."

Nuka chimed in, "You mean our revenge on Simba can finally happen?!"

"MY REVENGE!" roared Zira. "You don't have any revenge towards Simba. You have never cared about Scar and his legacy. All you've ever done is complain and whine about his decisions and final wishes. Where as I, your brother and the rest of the pride have put our souls into carrying out Scar's wishes. Am. I. Clear."

Nuka cowered from his mother. "Y-Yes Ma-am. Your revenge... We can finally get your revenge?"

Zira collected herself from her outburst. "Yes, Nuka. That is correct. Now, Vitani bring your brother and the lionesses to den. And you Nuka, bring me that rabbit you killed. I'm famished from my travel."

Zira and Vitani went their ways while Nuka stayed behind. He sat on the ground and hung his head low. "Of course mother. You can have the food I caught like always. I can go a few more days without eating again." Nuka's stomach growled on queue. "It's okay. Anything to make mother happy and notice me."

Sorry it's been awhile since I put out another part. I was away on work for a month and barely had time to draw. But now that I'm back for a while I can finally get some art out.
