Well, Chara is only corrupt if the player corrupts them with LOVE and teaches them how pointless the world would be. If you had everyone you love get killed in front of you and you are powerless to do anything, how would you feel? All the more reason to hate "humanity".
Unless you show them that there can be good within humans and let Frisk do their thing. I also think Chara gave them the SAVE power too.
