starting this year off RIGHTbut yeah i recently started playing and researching the mother series and it's everything i like in video games
emotional conflict, childlike perspective, friendship, a gripping story, aliens, time travel, badass little kids, dialogue that's all one big dad joke, there is nothing i don't love here
so you might be seeing some more mother/earthbound stuff from me this year

Aaaah I did some research on it and it looks great. I heard the Mother series also has some awesome soundtracks (one being Megalovania in Earthbound).

actually megalovania is from toby fox's earthbound halloween hack, among other projects of his, but yeah the mother series has great music

they're actually pretty hard to find. the first one was only recently released in the us and is wii u download exclusive, the second one is for snes and wii u, and the third one is for gba but was never released outside of japan (though there is a free fanmade english translation).
but if you can get your hands on a game, i think you would really like it. it's actually a lot like undertale in several ways.
i strongly recommend you play mother 2 before mother 3, but mother 1 seems to be largely optional, as they released the second game in the us first and it's the one most people think of.

ha yeah thats what my brother said, that its similar to undertale
he also said that you can find emulators for the computer and such but ill have to try to download one with him so i dont accidentally download something i dont want that is near impossible to remove like the last time it tried to download an emulated game
