This is almost homage to scene from Godzilla: King of the Monsters; scene whereΒ Dr. Serizawa helped to heal Godzilla.
But yeah, heard same rumors that new Monsterverse Mechgodzilla gets featured in Godzilla vs. Kong.
I get this hunch.. That Kong fights Mechgodzilla who's disguised as Godzilla till revealed to be robotic version of King of the Monsters.
