Featuring LunarSoul88's Medea and a fantasy-version of Torirumu's Leo (Artist Links at the bottom). As per usual, a little story to go along with the piece:

Leo had always wanted to be a hero. Ever since Sotiria had bequeathed him the magical sword 'King's Fang', he had taken up the secret identity of Checkmate, the Chess-Themed Hero. Eager to do good as the newest hero in town, Leo traveled everywhere, stopping crime wherever it dared rear its head.

During one of his trips, Leo wound up in Sunrise City, home of Cure Soleil and Cure Lunette. While he made quick friends with the pair of heroines, he also made an unexpected acquaintance. While patrolling the city one night, he encountered a young girl being accosted by thieves. Leaping into action, he rescued the young girl named Medea, who, unknown to him, was a villainess seeking to revive her ancient master.

Over several days, the two had a few chats, with Leo eager to learn about Medea's talents. Though she was a villainess, Medea genuinely appreciated Leo's help, and the two slowly started to develop a sense of trust with each other. After mentioning that she had a performance coming up at the Moonlight Theater, Medea invited Leo to attend, an invitation he gladly accepted.

As Medea arrived at the theater early the next evening, she encountered her partner Minuit, who had caught wind of her dalliance with the new 'hero' in town. Upon hearing that Leo would be coming to the theater, Minuit smiled gleefully: Medea's new friend could be VERY useful...

As the moon rose in the sky, Leo arrived at the theater, heading backstage to meet with Medea. As he walked onto the stage, he noticed Medea fidgeting. Before he could ask what was wrong, a curtain fell back, revealing Minuit standing beside a cauldron of the bubbling substance called Miasma. Realizing too late, Leo was trussed up by Minuit. Hung over the cauldron, Leo dangled as Minuit handed the rope to Medea, instructing her to hold onto it until the right moment.

As the curtain pulled back to allow the crowd to see the performance, Minuit thanked everyone for attending. Asking for a round of applause for Medea's new 'Assistant', Minuit explained that tonight's performance was an old classic: The legendary 'Disappearance' Trick. Bound and gagged, Checkmate was helpless, unable to tell anyone this wasn't a 'performance', his fate literally resting in Medea's hands...
