Description
I’m in an art block lately that’s been going on for a long while, and I’m kinda disappointed that I haven’t done anything for this year’s Inktober. If I have my motivation back again, I’ll start doing it before the year is over. It’s better late than actually done nothing. Or just draw anything, really.But enough about that! In the mean time I colored this old work from last year.

Maybe the race was a marathon and not a sprint. Cheetahs are better at short distance running, so if it was a longer distance run the mouse could eventually overtake her.

Plus, if real life rats were proportional to cheetas, I'm pretty sure they would be way faster. Not to say that about cockroaches!

That's a real low blow. Mocking a competitor after the results come in no less.
Everyone there trying their absolute hardest to be the victor after countless weeks or possibly even months of nonstop training beforehand. Male female young or old that can cause any person to be on a unstable emotional roller coaster within the time before during and especially after the race. That Mouse is very lucky one of the organisers or upper staff members weren't in earshot. Such unprofessional behavior would easily result in consequences.
Logistics aside however the picture is absolutely Lovely. I really do approve of the washed out lightly faded coloring style. It's a very uncommon visual style I don't see very much of especially these days. It sort of reminds me of the little Comics that newspapers would include from time to time. ^o^

My guess is she suffered the same downfall as the hare who lost to the tortoise.

People constantly forget the POINT of the story wasn't the Tortoise going slow yet steady... it was that the hare was lazy and overconfident.

True, hence why she possibly lost. She got overconfident and it possibly caused her to underdo something to cost her the race, like tripping on a rock or getting tangled in something because she didn't keep her eye on the track.
