Very cute! Difficult thing is when making cartoon style and avoiding anime style, is that the two styles of american cartoons and asian cartoons have been merging since the 60's. Today its almost an absolute fusion 
P.S. What was your method in creating the emphasis lines in the background of panel 6? Please don't say you used a computer
