Valjean finds/rescues Cosette on Christmas Eve, he gets her the doll (which is like a present)
IT'S CHRISTMAS ORIENTED, SO HA!!

Anyways, about the picture itself:
This is Valjean and Cosette... just chilling out... enjoying each other's company...
Since it's the dead of Winter, Valjean gives Cosette his coat so she'll be warm... sure, he'll freeze his butt off, but
PFFFT!
He doesn't care!
Note: this takes place AFTER he's given her the doll but BEFORE they get into the convent... When they're kinda traversing and going to place A, B, C, and D
Now, I DID switch things around as Valjean doesn't give his coat to Cosette until AFTER being pursued by Javert and his officers... they go through a moment of unease and tension before they relax for a moment and he gives her the coat...
BUT, I wanted to have that action played out during a moment of serenity and paternal lovey-ness
So yeah... I just TOTALLY made up what Valjean was wearing underneath that massive coat... so it's probably completely wrong
Oh, well.
ANYWHO!
