'I never liked your guts, I still dont . . . although, I respected you and somewhere along that line, you became my closest and only friend. . .'

This took three separate canvases >< one for the starry background (I love night skies!), one for Hidan and one for Kakuzu who was originally draw the other way but I flipped him because I wanted him at the other side of Hidan so thats why his Akatsuki clouds are backwards
And the end canvas size is damn huge!!!
I wrote the captions in non-specifc way so that it would double as either of them saying it instead of one or the other (although if you ask me, it sounds a bit like Hidan, minus a swear word at every other word)

My aim was kind of like a 'theyre not so bad' kinda vibe, so I wanted it to be detailed but to the point where it was simple, which is why I made it night time (to me thats relaxing and still so . .) and theyre standing on super still water with the reflection (again, relaxing)

-This is where I fell out with it-
First off, making things look like still water/reflections is really hard (well for me anyway)
Their reflection were originally different from the way theyre standing on top of the water, my first idea was to have Hidan in his curse form and Kakuzu without his cloak and one of his masks standing beside him, but I wasnt too sure if I liked it so then I drew 'before the akatsuki' versions of them, then I drew that again but I had them facing each other
Buuuuut, I scrapped that idea and then drew young versions of them where they were acting like friends, so the various versions of that included
-one where they were giving the other a sunflower (Im no expert, but yellow flowers mean friendship and well, sunflowers and the yellowest flower)
-one where they were running off into the distance all happy
-one where they were hiding behind their current self reflections
-there was also one were their current reflections were there and watching the younger reflections run off
Most of these only got as far as being drawn!

But after what felt like a year of groaning, sighing, my speech pattern slowly becoming more like Hidans and getting friendly with the eraser tool, I finally just decided to leave it simple and just have their current self reflections and keep it the same
and you know what
Im actually really happy with it, I smiled at the finished result
AFTER ALL THE ERASING AND REDOING I SMILED!! so thats gotta be a good sign, right?
And as crazy as it sounds, I think I actually wanna draw more like this so maybe I will, but Imma take a break first because maaaaaaaan did this take a while . . .
Sure, theres a couple of mistakes, but Im not perfect and it looks fine at a glance so thats good enough I think
But I hope you like it anyways :3

(Ill probably add/touchup the info here later on, but Im rather exhausted and Ive got an apple crumble to bake ><)
