Description
Another assignment for Fantasy Illustration. Featuring a huntress, her kitty, and a yeti. Learned a lot this time around, I am eager to apply it to future assignments. We joked that all that dead space in front was room for a giant signature. Heehee.Related content

Really great piece. Many tiny details while still in a painted style. Different from other work!
I am charmed by the buffalo-lynx (Buffalynx?)

Ooh I should concept a new species and call it a Buffalynx. That's awesome! It was meant to just be a giant sabretooth but I like the idea of mixing it with a big animal like that. This piece was a pinnacle achievement last semester and opened up another level in my abilities. It was really exciting, I'm glad that shows through!

Woaah! This is amazing! However I think the perspective makes it look a little static. A slightly low angle putting her a little more in the foreground, maybe tilting the horizon would give this scene much more of a dramatic effect. Just my thoughts though and still this is an incredible piece of art! I salute you!

Thank you! And I totally agree. I actually started off with it being a little more like how you suggested. Over time and working it over and over it eventually leveled out. My next piece has a much more dynamic perspective. Thanks for the kind words and the suggestion!

It was getting in the way so I had to break it in half. That's probably why he's so mad.

My husband just exclaimed, "Cool! That looks badass." from behind me as I thought out my comment. To be honest, I didnt really take concious notice of the empty space till I read about it in your comment. Its not unusual to have open fields like this in the middle of forests. Perhaps you could add some foreground elements there like, dead branches, or a bush patch or something. Overall, looks fantastic to me!

Maybe I should remove that comment then.. Heehee. But thank you, you (and your husband too in this case!) always leave such nice comments
