Most ECHOs are up to date on maintenance, so a missing part would not be very common!

Question: Are the common traits blue? I just feel a little confused, I want to use the butterfly tail looking thing on mine, I'm planning on doing an Animalis since I got an A slot, and I think thats how it works.
I'm planning on having them based on a cat and I think the butterfly tail thing would be cute on them 'v'

Yes, the blues are common!
Please note that extra traits are limited to the model the echo belongs in
Sooo for example, an Animalis ECHO can have traits associated with a single animal
Since yours is based on a cat, you would only be able to use 'cat like' traits (ie. tail, ears, whiskers, etc)
Since the feathers are considered avian traits (or butterfly tail thing), putting them on an Animalis ECHO won't work since that would be considered 'hybridizing' an ECHO
If you have a rare ECHO, you're allowed to do this, but for common models, you are not

1) I've noticed some myos and official adopts have ball joints. Do those have a rarity, or can any ECHO have them?
2) would this be too much scales for a common serpentium?

The breed I'm specifically looking at is the flat-tailed horned lizards; if it depends on species I'm looking at, is it possible I can have the same amount of horns around the head or is that a no-go? (the species has 6, so i completely understand if thats a big no)

For scales, what is the limit for a Serpentium common? Is it the same as the normal common % for scales/fur? C:
And can gems on other places on the body be flipped of the original copy? (Or can it even be a completely different shape from the original?)

No no, don't worry about it!!
Scale limit would be the same as common traits, yes!
And gem color can be any color/shape you'd like <3
There's a guideline for how many you can place (or % of the body it can cover), so just make sure to follow that guideline and youll be good!

I don't really understand the CS community, I'm trying to keep an open mind and I was wondering if you could offer any advice.
CS just make me feel really stressed. I feel like it's hard for me to make Chimera OCs because I'm afraid of it accidentally looking like someones CS and offending them.
You understand the community more, what do you think I can do about this? (It's just so stressful you know?)

Hey Bud!!
In all honesty, I just started getting into CS's. This group is going to be the first one, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to provide too much insight on the subject matter. BUT I do understand where you're coming from in terms of not wanting to look 'unoriginal' or like 'you've stolen a design'. Unfortunately, pure creativity is something that's REALLY hard to come by (imo). Cause whatever you create from your mind, its bound to look similar in the slightest way to another character or concept somebody else made. To be bluntly honest, that's just the nature of the beast, and nothing in the world is really 'original'. It's derived in some form or fashion from something else. Whether we like to admit it or not, we try to be original and creative, but somebody out there's probably made something similar. Don't get stressed out about CS or anything like that! Even though I claim the ECHO's species, I'm never going to be able to claim 'AI's' or 'androids' just because ECHO's are based off of them. Same with other CS's too. I can claim the lore and the story behind it, but the idea, the figure, etc. is something that's going to end up looking similar to somebody elses.
So all in all, I think the point I'm trying to make is, try to do the best you can in being 'creative'! What I always do is look up other similar characters or concept, and if somebody out there's got one, I try to change that one bit of detail up so I can stay 'different'. Don't stress!!

I agree that to an extent there’s no such thing as true originality. I just worry that some CS owners are a bit more closed minded and can’t imagine that anyone else could ever organically come up with a similar idea as they did. ; v ; Maybe I should just try not to think about it. After all, most of my watchers are pretty much dead so it’s not like people notice my art anyway lol.
