I don't know if you intended this or not, but the buildings are very reminiscent of the old US model kit (originally by Aurora, but re-released over the years by both Monogram and Polar Lights). The model was kind of representational of the 1960's G, and had an out-of-scale stomped city diorama base. Several of the wrecked buildings there were similar to what you've painted here. I must say, I rather prefer your rendition to the old model (regardless of whether or not that model influenced you in any way); they work very well with the overall style you've got.

Wow that's very interesting! I didn't know that. I actually just kind of made destroyed buildings to fit the scene haha. But I just looked up the aforementioned buildings and they look great!

I definitely know what you mean, Godzilla could've used more screen time. Aty the same time it made his scenes that much more exciting!

And it being CGI, they could make the Kaiju do things they weren't able in the japanese movies, like breating.
