I often feel the same. I'd like to challenge the joker to a battle of crazy faces. There's something very poetic about that look in the eyes. It's an expression of understanding that one's own existence is worthless and the things that he does now are indeed not of the norm, but none-the-less are no closer to purpose than anything else that could be called 'normal'. Don't you think?
Many associate a lack of feeling to meaninglessness, but some, like this joker, have quite an opposite feeling. Meaninglessness can be way more vigorous than that which has meaning.
