Awesome Gif. Dark & trippy. What program are you using? I have Adobe InDesign, but would like to find a more user friendly program. also, I am having a difficult time uploading any GIFs I create...I keep getting an error message that states it needs a preview image. I am SO perplexed. I have tried to find help from the FAQ's, but can find nothing...Arghhhhh! I am serious, could you let me know or throw this down a out dog a bone?

Thank you!
I have used Sculptgen for creating the shape and as I remember Artful Gif Animator for putting together the single frames to have an animation.

yeah, however, the gif file you see here and think it is large, is a resized version of the larger original gif file!!!

So instead of rotating it is kind of folded inside out all the time?

Noticed that the lines stay in line

yeah, that is it. You're absolutely right. The thin lines, ornamenting the shape, always have a same position!

PerpetuΓΌm Non-Transformaticum.
Tricky stuff you`ve got here.
First of all ; Why did you use the same linear design as one of my boxershorts, make it look like an elastic fan?Lucky me the shit did not hit the fan
And second it is an non-illusive illusion.
Not going to tell the trick here of course but depending on where the eyes focus it does look like if it rotates in another direction as when focused on another point.
If it really did that , you would have made an auto-interactive animation that senses where the spectator is focussing and let the object rotate in another direction every time the focus-centre is moved in real time.
( Sure that even if such a program exists, my screen is not compatible )

I searched your gallery and unfortunately did not find any work similar to mine there. Give me a link to yours, please. But you're right. It looks like some kind of elastic fan!
I do not understand what you exactly mean with the inverse rotation of the shape depending on the focus point. My work is a 3D shape which works like a tube rotating around its internal axis. It is coming forth from the inside and going back from the outside(borders). But, if just we imagine it as a flat 2D shape, then the white parts are coming out and the black holes are getting inside.
On the other hand the most beautiful part of this project was the central star! Stare at it!
Thank you so much for watching, faveing and commenting!

LMAO , I really meant my underwear. I do not have a picture of my white boxer-short with thin black strips in my gallery of course.
Stared at the star the shape the lines , shadows.
Even downloaded the file and paste it into Ulead gif maker and stared at all 41 frames 1 by 1 .
Have to see again though because my idea was that it was just rotating.
As I did write before ; Tricky stuff. It is GOOD.
