My latest NaLi pic.I tried to stay very in character with this, nothing too in your face. Everything down to the gestures had to be in character in my opinion.
The quote is from a song.... can't remember the name off the top of my head but it's been playing in my mind the whole time I was drawing this, I'll edit with the name as soon as I remember it.... lol

I'm a NaLi fan and this... pulls at the heartstrings. It's the cutest couple and their story is too sad. I hope it will be happy end.

awwww. thank you. I do love NaLi. I don't know if I really ship Natsu at all... because I don't find him to be a romantic, but the way he is with Lisanna makes me so happy. It reminds me of how I am with my best friend. I am really happy to see Mashima adding some more moments between the 2 of them and I'm really hoping they can get the closure that we were denied when Lisanna first returned from Edolas.

Too bad that she doesn't get much screen-time. I expected her to... well, she was a close friend of Natsu, and everyone believed she died.
So, well, should'nt Natsu try to enjoy her company now that she is back? Doesn't make much sense for me.
I remember that i saw somewhere that she is alive just beacuse of the director, that likes her. But if it wasn't him, she would'nt even be back -.-
She is a nice character, I'd like to see her more times. And actually ... I don't usually ship, but I think their relathionship is something cute ^^

Actually the whole thing about the director bringing lisanna back is a rumor that was started by NatsuXLucy fans. Mashima confirmed that he was planning on bringing Lisanna back for the sake of MiraJane. There is even a photo of him holding a sign that says "when did I ever say Lisanna died?".
Although I believe Mashima is planning on making NaLu cannon, I still wish Lisanna would get more screen time, especially with Natsu and Happy. I don't think she would cause issues for the NaLu fandom if people would give her a chance.

yeah. Unlike a lot of manga-ka who seem to have little involvement with their series whether it be due to the anime making drastic changes or the editors controlling their work, Mashisma is very involved in Fairy Tail. He mentioned that originally Fairy Tail wasn't supposed to be as long as it was so it's easy to believe he had no intention of ever bringing Lisanna back at all, but when he did make the decision to bring her back he informed his fans who were worried about it conflicting with the possible romance between Natsu and Lucy that he brought Lisanna back for Mira's sake and ended the statement there. He has never confirmed nor denied NaLi or NaLu although the fans seem to think otherwise. He's very secretive about his plans for Fairy Tail's future.

I know right!! I never expected her to join Natsu's team or anything, mostly cause she was never a part of his team, even before she "died". But it kinda irritates me when Elfman and Mirajane get to join everyone in fights and Lisanna gets left behind. She used to go on s-class missions with her big sister.....

The recent filler arc in the anime did somewhat of an in-joke addressing this: after Lisanna, having taken the form of a mermaid to unplug a giant drainstop in a wading pool so she could find a piece of the Infinity Clock, is complimented by Mirajane for doing so, she responds (and I'm paraphrasing), "My appearance has been kinda lacking recently, so I thought I'd make a big show to make an appeal." (To which Elfman replied, "What's that supposed to mean?" XD)
I agree ever since at least Tenrou Island (where at least she fought some bad guys) she's been fading into the background. Part of me still wants her to hook up with Natsu, but it looks as if Mashima will give in to fanservice and have him go with Lucy instead. (Not that that's a bad thing; I've been thinking that before Lisanna came back.)

Yeah, I've always been a big fan of Lisanna and did enjoy her brief moment in the filler saga. I don't expect her and Natsu to ever "hook up" but I would love to see them have a moment of closure or even a moment that shows that they are still good friends.
I don't really like the idea of Natsu and Lucy only because what I see between them is more camaraderie than romance. I see Natsu with Lucy the same way that I see him with Erza or Wendy, or even Gray. I'm not going to be horribly surprised if Mashima caves into the fan service though. I just wish Lisanna would stand out a bit more, even if she's not a love interest.

Well, guess I spoke too soon. While visiting Barcelona in the past week, Mashima not only confirmed that Natsu and Lucy will hook up in the future, they will also get married and have a daughter.
It's times like this I question why I got into this series in the first place.

I heard a rumor that the whole confirmation thing was a hoax. Although I don't find NaLu hard to believe, I do have serious doubts about the author giving away such information before his series is complete. Especially since he has a bad habit of trolling his fans when it comes to shipping couples. but I guess we won't know until he finishes his series. If it happens then it happens and I won't complain.
