In the thumbnail it looked like he had a bloody hand but then I saw it is wine. You did do an amazing job on the coloring of this.

i feel like the reflections kind of make it look like milk x D better with them than without them, though

haha :] I think what I like about them is how they match the very faded colors of the background, but are more saturated. it gives it all a cool, reflective quality, almost like marble... and I'm sure it's not meant to be that difficult!
also, the freckles make me want to create a character that is one solid color with an explosion of freckles on the face ahhh

i think mostly i learned not to be afraid of colours i thought were awful, like pink and green and dark blue. anytime you're forced to experiment you learn something
