I don't know how many of you remember this, but yes. This was a thing back in the days.

For every popular cartoon/anime with fantasy, magical things and lack of details about large-scale impact in the modern society (because they're shows for kids that don't even know what large-scale impact means), there was always a creepy gremlin-like nerd that used to say:"It's because that's all a dream! It's all in the kid's imagination and they're in coma, hehehehe!"

I heard them about Doraemon, about Pokèmon, about Ed Edd 'n Eddy and even about Captain Tsubasa. I bet they would've made one for Magical Taruruto as well if the anime was enough popular to get outside of Japan.

The funny thing about this is that such trolls were even so entitled to define themselves Cartoon theorists, even if the "theory" was always the same, cheap excuse for every single show.
