I can't read your comment, but I think this is a wonderfully surreal picture. I'm trying to figure out whether you're portraying "man as an integral part of the machinery" - or the thing that ruins it. Either way - well done!

The comment is a quote from my friend. He said something like "No matter what, human exists in the sphere of illusions, phantom, not in the reality - I would see it like this."
It was about how we imagine our beloved person, when he or she is far away for a long time - we usually create our own vision and strongly believe in it. We grow a sort of "phantom". The disappointment comes, when we finally find out, that we love our vision, not the real person (who obviously turn out to be different from what we expected).

I think you may just have defined the whole of the trouble with "cyber" relationships - as in, people that you meet in "cyberspace" (online). No matter how much we think we know someone who we've met and chatted with - there is always a difference between how we have perceived them and what they really are. The ghost in the machine rears its ugly head. Thanks so much for sharing your insights on this piece. I still love it!
