I find it hard not to drift away here,
The sound of crickets dictating their song,
Whispering ticklish sounds around my ears
Here I loose all my troubles, termoile and fears,
I release my lingering thoughts to the wind
You rest your head next to mine,
Body turns, twisted, awkward yet comfortable,
Up in arms,
So very memorable
Rustle under torso,
Heartbeat fastens more so,
Curling up from our tired travelling souls,
Golden, soft moments like this, just pass time by,
And we're left humming a crickets song,
Just you, and I.

Its been many years since I've drawn a couple, especially so close. I haven't been one for sentimental values like that, certainly not. Maybe its my pride. All I know, is that the secret romantic, now, not so secret any more. Maybe its because I'm happy.
