Oh, well it's an ota, not an auction ( I think auction is were you have sb, mi and ab. Ota is were you offer points or others such as art to get it )

OTA:
Offer anything (Art,Points,Money) the artist decides what offer they’ll except. The person who’s offer gets chosen gets ownership of the adopt, they have to do what’s in the offer as payment for said adopt
Auction:
A public sale where the offered thing (Adopts in this case) are won by the highest bidder. Auctions usually end after a certain amount of time.
Auctions are not the same as Offer To Adopts (OTAs)

OTA also goes to the highest bidder. Auctions can also be held in other currency. OTA also need to end? After the highest bid, you are given a time.

Auctions go to a highest bidder
OTAs are when people make offers eg
‘I can do 2 full bodies, 2 busts and 2 headshots for them.’
The artist then chooses what offer they want, and except it. It isn’t bidding, it’s Offering to do something for the adopt.
The person who offered the excepted offer then does what they said in their offer
OTAs are usually separate comments.
Auctions reply to a comment and usually go along the lines of:
Person1: Sb
Person2: 10 points
Person1: 20 points
If the auction ends after day, an hour and the last bid is ‘20 points’ the person who offered the 20 points gets the adopt for that amount.
I really hope this makes sense, I’m pretty sure this is correct but I recommend doing your own research <3
