The first that captivates me in this scene is the color palette: Clearly a late autumn date given the color of the leaves and the bareness of the trees.
Next I'm aware that several lines of contrast draw my eye to the traveler at the far end of the road.
I appreciate that you positioned yourself on one edge of the road causing the other edge to have a greater angle, helping to draw my eye to the traveler.
The lights and the darks in the trees on the left, and the light of the sky on the right work well to reinforce where you wanted our eyes to be led.
So what's left over after the beautiful scenery has been digested is the mystery of the traveler: Is s/he coming towards us or away? Is the traveler "with" the photographer or serendipitously present? Perhaps it's even the photographer herself using a wireless trigger on her camera!
This is a print worthy of a calendar, to be sure. And with the right room colors, it would be a fine addition to a personal art collection.

Beautiful, spectacular and just down right amazing. This photo captures nature at its finest and I'm not just saying that because I adore forests.
I myself would love to visit Germany and this photo only makes me want to go more.
