Fourth prompt of Folktale Week is “Smoke”.

Somewhere deep in the forest smoke is rising from old witch's hut on chicken legs. This hut is not just a random old house but the Gate between the world of living and the world of dead. Baba Yaga is the one who keeps this passage and decides fate of travelers.
Who knows what kind of witchcraft she is performing now?

Slavic folklore is something that I grew up with as well, in a way, fairy tales and stories of supernatural beings were known from early childhood. So I chose to illustrate a bit eerie image of Baba Yaga's hut with infernal light that seeps through the windows.
