That actually makes sense seeing as how in the "Fiend-ship is Magic" Issue #5 Comic Book by IDW showed that in Chrysalis's Origin the Changelings were born from a tree in a magic pool full of Pony Corpses.

I actually found the synopsis of that comic book story on the MLP Wiki before I created the illustration.
Also, the main reason why I drew that illustration is because of Chrysalis' design, since she already looks like a living corpse!

It would make even more sense by the fact that the Evil(versions of) Changelings basically seem like they're Emotion Vampires, so I wouldn't be surprised if they seem like they really are Undead.
