Name: Maerah Ghumus
In Greek mythology, Maera was the hound of Erigone, daughter of Icarius of Athens.
Icarius was a follower of the wine god Dionysus and had been taught how to make wine. While travelling, Icarius met some shepherds, who killed him. Erigone was worried about her father, and set off with Maera to find him. Maera led her to his grave, and both became so overwhelmed with grief that she hanged herself and Maera leapt off a cliff. Upon hearing the news, Dionysus placed them in the sky as the constellations Virgo (Erigone), Boötes (Icarius), and the star, Procyon (Maera).
The modern Arabic name for Procyon (Canis Minor) is غموص ghumūṣ.

Blood Color: Purple, almost Violet.
Took this test silver-lunar-eclipse.deviantar… and got purple but 0.1 point off from being violet so I took the RBG numbers for "homestuck blood" violet, multiplied them by 0.1 and subtracted he sum from the original number to get her color.

Lusus: Gelert
Gelert is the name of a legendary dog associated with the village of Beddgelert (whose name means "Gelert's Grave") in Gwynedd, northwest Wales. The story of Gelert is a variation on the well-worn "Faithful Hound" folk-tale motif, which lives on as an urban legend. It is classified as Aarne-Thompson type 178A. Here, the dog is alleged to have belonged to Llywelyn the Great, Prince of Gwynedd, and to have been a gift from King John of England. In this legend, Llywelyn returns from hunting to find his baby's cradle overturned, the baby missing and the dog with blood around its mouth. Imagining that it has savaged the child, Llywelyn draws his sword and kills the dog, which lets out a final dying yelp. He then hears the cries of the baby and finds it unharmed under the cradle, along with a dead wolf which had attacked the child and been killed by Gelert. Llywelyn is then overcome with remorse and he buries the dog with great ceremony, yet can still hear the dying yelp. After that day Llywelyn never smiles again.

Quirks: Replaces the first o in a word with 0, followed by 3 o's. Replaces"how" with "howl" and changes word that have to do with talking or speaking to "howl". When it's a double o's she only puts one o after the 0

This is all I really have so far for her, I'll be making changes and adding this as I keep developing her.

Ok so her horns are based off of the shape of Canis Minor. Also after talking with I've decided to make it so she used to have the same strength of hearing that dogs have. She, also like dogs, smells in layers instead of smelling things as a whole. Example of this would be lasagna. Where humans smell the lasagna as a whole, dogs smell the different parts of it seperatly, i.e. they smell the meat, cheese, pasta, and sauce seperatly.
Because of the whole "Erigone becomes Virgo and Maera becomes Procyon" thing, Maerah has a very close relationship with Kanaya
