I used photoshop CS2 to color it. Mainly just a variety of different shades put together to make it blend properly. Had a lot of fun with it, thanks for the comment.

I would suggest looking up a program called "the gimp". It's like photoshop, but free. I used it before my aunt gifted me with photoshop.

It's hard to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a life saver! You will improve so much more with it than paint, especially with the pressure sensitivity. That is, if you have a tablet, and if you don't, my mind has officially been blown away.
If you need any help let me know, I can teach you how to get used to gimp. The most important thing is layers, don't forget that.
