WOOOOO IT’S FINALLY DONE! Man this has got to be the most ponies I’ve drawn in a picture, EVER! Boooiiiii this took me forever XD But I have to say I’m pretty proud of the result! It was a challenge, and as the meme goes, “Challenge Accepted.” Lol, it was good fun drawing the normal characters we know a little differently They’re all from an AU (I don’t really know much it about it tho) and this picture was commissioned by for a fanfic they’re working on!

So, I’ve got QUITE a few notes regarding this so I’ll just do a kind of summary of each character ^^

Rainbow Dash :
So, this was... kind of a hard one to draw. I had to change a couple of things ‘cause they worked better that way. Her hair was the biggest one, really. I tried to draw it like the ref but honestly, I couldn’t make it work... It just didn’t look right. So, I gave her her classic bangs and I added these pigtail-style things in her mane. I think I’ve seen actual horses have their hair that way so that’s probably where I got it from XD I replaced the holes in the crown where the hair would normally be with rubies so it looked a little fancier. I also added some more stripes for aesthetic purposes and earrings as well XD

Twilight :
I know what you’re probably gonna say: “But Twilight isn’t big enough?! She supposed to be GIANT almost!”. Yes, I know, but to be honest I couldn’t fit her in the picture well enough so I shrank her a little. It’s kind of like a perspective thing if you know what I mean?? Like, she’s supposed to be farther away... or something. IDK, just accept it XD
Her design was something I almost completely redesigned, but I kept a few original pieces in there (or at least inspired by them). The weird ribbon head piece was inspired by the original ringlet, and the wings have this cool flamey-gradient effect that was similar to the original as well. She also has loads of sparkles on her X3 And the hair is a lot more swept back as well (I decided to ditch the bangs for this one).

Rarity :
I kept this one pretty similar, but I also changed a lot as well... I gave her a cute little ponytail complete with a ribbon ‘cause I thought it would make her look a little cuter, but also a little sadder because she’s trying to be fashionable but unfortunately, she just can’t afford much. And yeah, the cloak is little bit different too, but eh... I thought it looked nice.

Applejack :
I actually really loved drawing this design for some reason lol. I didn’t really change that much, just kind of added a bun.

Celestia :
She looks SO CUTE HHHHHHH
I loved drawing a filly version of her :’D Since I like drawing my Equestria princesses (even if in this world they’re not actually royalty) with floof on their legs, I couldn’t resist adding that X3
I read on Celestia’s ref that she puts stickers on her flank to make her not look like a blank-flank, so I chose a really pretty flower for her to sport in this particular picture XD

Luna :
This one is ALSO ADORABLE! ;3;
This is pretty much just like the canon young version of Luna, but with some added floof and and slight mane changes. :3 And yes, I gave her freckles.
And regarding the CM, I only changed the colours of it because I thought it would just mesh with her design a little better than the red/ white/ black. ^^”

Pinkie :
Preeeetty much the same design as I drew it before, but with some added details. I don’t think I really changed much... I just gave her different bracelets lol
Oh, and drawing curly hair IS HARD X-X

Fluttershy :
I think I had the most fun with this one TBH XD I gave her design a complete overhaul and honestly, I personally love it XD I had to look up punk/ rock styles on Pinterest and I found some clothes that looked really cool and it was also not too hard to ponify. I gave her lip and ear piercings too, to add to the overall look ^^

The background:
Yeah, I know, it’s not much but honestly?? I couldn’t really think of what to do with it. I mostly wanted the focus to be on the ponies themselves, so I just kind of made it dark and looming, just to add to the overall mood of the piece.

Sooo I really hope that you, , didn’t mind TOO much about the changes (I mean, you did give me permission on a couple of them)... I’m sorry if you don’t really like some of them but well... I tried ^^”

I hope you’re happy though with the picture in general, I certainly worked hard to make it as best as I possibly could
